Looks I Love: 2018 Golden Globes

Red carpet season has begun. And this year is more significant than the past years. Why? Because everyone showed up in black to show solidarity with the #MeToo movement and TIME’S UP.  The #MeToo movement gained more traction last year after Harvey Weinstein and many other men in Hollywood were exposed to be sexual predators. The TIME’s UP movement is set to continue the conversation about sexual harassment, abuse, and inequality towards women not only in Hollywood, but all around the world. And it was definitely a beautiful red carpet last night.

And with that being said, here are some of my favorite looks of the night.

The Next Generation

Katherine Langford – The 13 Reasons Why star and Best Actress in a Drama nominee attended her first Golden Globes in a Prada gown. The long sleeve, low cut gown also had some beaded detail around the waistline which paired very nicely with the Chopardjewelry. Although she is a rookie to the red carpet, she looked very poised. |Photo Source: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Millie Bobby Brown – Millie has a few red carpets under her belt especially after the success of Stranger Things. The 13 year-old proved again to be a future fashion icon when she stepped on the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a Calvin Klein by Appointment dress fit for her age. It was modern and chic and not many people could pull it off. |Photo Source: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Dove Cameron – Out of the three, Dove’s overall look was my favorite. She was the epitome of a classic Hollywood actress in this strapless Monique Lhuillier gown. I could have done without the bow, but the hair, makeup, and jewelry were all on point and contributed to the whole look. |Photo Source: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

The Presenters

Viola Davis – Viola Davis has been gracing the Golden Globes red carpet for years and every year she radiates so much confidence that’s very inspiring. This year was not an exception as she walked the red carpet and presented in a Brandon Maxwell gown. She was all smiles and I just remembered that I need to catch up on How to Get Away With Murder. |Photo Source: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Alicia Vikander – The former Golden Globe nominee continues to make waves in Hollywood as she is set to star in the 2018 adaptation of Tomb Raider. This year she walked the red carpet in Louis Vuitton. The dress had a lot of beaded detail and looked fairly modest with a high neckline and long sleeves, but when Alicia turned around, the open back was displayed. She brought sexy back! |Photo Source: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

The Nominees

Jessica Biel – To be honest, I had no idea Jessica Biel was back on television so it was a nice surprise to see her walk the red carpet. The Sinner star showed up in a Dior Haute Couture gown alongside husband, Justin Timberlake. The strapless gown was a combination of tulle and velvet and Mr. Timberlake could not take his eyes off of his wife. |Photo Source: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Issa Rae – The Insecure star and Best Actress nominee walked the red carpet in a low cut, deep V-neck Prabal Gurung gown. Her dress shimmered as she rocked the red carpet and showed off some leg. She oozed confidence and left any insecurities at home, proving she’s come a long way from that Awkward Black Girl. |Photo Source: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Allison Janney Last night, she took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in I, Tonya and she did it in one of my favorite dresses of the night. While most of the dresses on the carpet were solid black, Janney sported a black and white Mario Dice dress. It was intricately cut and almost looked as if it was painted white in certain areas, creating a butterfly effect. |Photo Source: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Margot Robbie The star of I, Tonya was part of the Gucci gang when she stepped onto the red carpet last night. While her co-star Allison Janney had color detail on the upper part of her dress, Margot opted for a dress with some silver, floral detail on the lower half. |Photo Source: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

The Actresses I Look Up To

Emilia Clarke The Game of Thrones star was all smiles when she walked the Golden Globes red carpet in a Miu Miu dress. The solid black dress had an off-the-shoulder/lowcut neckline with a little black bow in the front and a high slit in the back. She also showed off he platinum blonde hair and like many other GoT fans, I’m in disbelief that we have to wait another year for the final season – especially after that season 7 finale. |Photo Source: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Jamie Chung – If you didn’t know, Jamie Chung is one of my fashion inspirations. She’s one of the reasons I think about my OOTDs! For her first look of the night, Jamie stepped out in a strapless Ermanno Scervino creation. She rocked leather on the top and tulle on the bottom displaying a playful yet edgy look. One way her look stood out among a sea of black was the fact that she had mismatched Sophia Webster heels, one white and one black. I wouldn’t be surprised if she just started a hot fashion trend! |Photo Source: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images North America via Zimbio.|

Looks I Love: Oscars 2017

Red carpet season has officially come to an end and the stars of the season made sure they all looked good at Hollywood’s biggest award show, the Academy Awards. I started out with 15 looks that I love, but then I narrowed it down to 13. I probably should’ve narrowed it down more, but I practically loved everything I saw!

Photos Courtesy of Zimbio.

5 under 25

Olivia Culpo (24) – The former Miss USA stunned in a grey gown, custom made by Marchesa. Not only did she look good with the fringe, but she did some good with that dress, partnering with Stella Artois and Water.org.

Karlie Kloss (24) – I’m still wondering what Karlie Kloss was doing at the Academy Awards, but either way, she rocked it. We all know she’s used to the runway, so she made walking the red carpet look like a walk in the park. She looked fierce in the all white ensemble by Tom Ford. The cape, the jewelry, the hair…it was everything. Also, Karlie was one of the many celebrities wearing a blue ribbon showing their support for the ACLU.

Sofia Carson (23) – Sofia is known for playing the daughter of the evil queen from Snow White, but tonight she looked like an absolute princess. She chose to walk her first Oscar’s red carpet with a Monique L’huillier gown. The gold detail on the dress matched perfectly with the gold hairpiece. The sweetheart neckline was perfect for her as well!

Hailee Steinfeld (20) – Hailee looked gorgeous. I absolutely had no words when I first saw her rocking that Ralph and Russo dress. I’m glad she had her hair up, because she showed off the beautiful halter style neckline. The floral detail from head to toe made the dress look so beautiful and elegant.

Auli’i Cravalho (16) – She made her debut at the Oscars in a white gown by Rubin Singe. This dress also had some gold detail that made it look like shells on the beach, fitting for the “Moana” star.  I’m sure it’s not an easy task to walk the red carpet for the first time among so many veteran actors and actresses, but she did amazing. Her look was simple, yet perfect for her.

Red Carpet #RelationshipGoals

chrissyteigen89thannualacademyawardsi1ipzk-bog6x

Chrissy Teigen & John Legend – These two are known to be #RelationshipGoals. Chrissy chose to go with a white dress by Zuhair Murad. It was a bit conservative with long sleeves, but the high slit gave it the sexy look. The silver details and the belt were perfect for the dress and accentuated the right places! John definitely complimented her in his Gucci  tuxedo.

Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake – I’m not used to seeing these two together on the red carpet, but in their rare appearance together, they looked perfect. Jessica chose to go gold in Kaufman Franco. She shined, while Justin looked so dapper in Tom Ford.

Very Velvet

Brie Larson – Last year, Brie stunned and won in a blue Gucci dress. This year she continued to win the red carpet in a black velevt Oscar de la Renta piece. The mermaid style dress paired with the neckline is absolutely stunning. This dress is probably in my top 5.

Taraji P. Henson – Taraji always looks good on the red carpet and she always looks fierce in whatever she decides to wear. Today, she graced the Oscars red carpet in an Alberta Ferreti gown. I believe the color is a deep violet, which looks great on her skin tone. It was a simple and classic look yet super sexy with the low cut and high leg slit.

Best Supporting Actresses

Alicia Vikander – Last year, Alicia stole our hearts in a yellow Louis Vuitton gown as she accepted her Oscar for the Best Supporting Actress. This year she decided to tone down the color with a simple black dress by the same designer, Louis Vuitton. The layers, the ruffles, the lace, the necklace – it looked perfect for Alicia’s petite figure.

Viola Davis – Viola walked the red carpet and accepted her Oscar in a red (or maybe blood orange) Armani Prive gown. The off-the-shoulder gown looked so elegant and classic. I noticed most of the actresses walking the red carpet wore some neutral colors, so I’m glad that Viola confidently chose to go with a brighter color. I’m always looking forward to her acceptance speeches and she delivered hers looking as beautiful as ever.

The Emmas

Emma Roberts – I caught the red carpet coverage pretty late and Emma Roberts was pretty much the first person I saw. And let me tell you, she looked so stunning. I know it’s a somewhat simple look, but the two tone (black and white) Armani Prive dress looked so perfect on her. She looked like she stepped out of an old classic Hollywood film, especially with her hair and makeup. I must also note that she worked with Red Carpet Green Dress again, wearing a sustainable dress! I think it’s safe to say she was my favorite look of the night.

Emma Stone – I will always love Emma Stone. She may be this Hollywood A-lister, but she just seems to down to earth and is definitely a loveable dork. But enough of me acting like a fangirl. She yet again looked like a classic Hollywood actress in this gold Givenchy number. This dress looked like it was inspired by 1920s flappers, with the tiered fringe. She pulled it off and wore it confidently!

Best Dressed: 2016 Academy Awards

The 2016 red carpet season has finally come to an end. Last night, the 88th Annual Academy awards took place at the Dolby theater and many of this season’s biggest stars stepped out in their finest.

I narrowed my list down to 10 actresses and it was pretty easy unlike the previous awards shows this season. Actresses on my previous best dressed lists continued to stun me tonight and a few new faces showed up as well.

So without further ado, here is my best dressed at the 2016 Oscars. (All photos from Zimbio)

10. Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell. At the Golden Globes, Lady Gaga was absolutely stunning in her black Atelier Versace gown, but tonight she decided to go opposite with a white pant suit. At first, I couldn’t tell that it was a pantsuit considering she had beautiful train behind her, but I think that’s what makes me love it. It gives the illusion of a cascading gown, but it’s really pants so you know it’s comfortable.

9. Margot Robbie in Tom Ford. The Suicide Squad star showed up matching the Oscar statue and I loved it. I’m not one for snake skin inspired fashion, but I admit that this looked pretty intricate. It fit her perfectly and I’m a sucker for long sleeves paired with a low neckline – it’s like conservative and sexy at the same time.

8. Sophie Turner in Galavan. Sophie will always make my best dressed lists. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, she’s one of the fashion icons of her generation so she knows what’s trending (she stepped out in support of the “Red Carpet Green Dress” eco-friendly campaign) and how to rock her looks confidently. I loved the neckline of this dress on her and the mint green color looked gorgeous against her skin. The touch of Tiffany and co. jewelry was also a perfect match.

7. Brie Larson in Gucci. This look wasn’t my favorite of hers this season, but it’s still a beautiful choice (my favorite was her gold Calvin Klein dress at the Golden Globes). This time around she went with a cobalt blue gown with some sheer accents at the neckline. Personally, I love accessorizing dresses with belts and I’m glad she did just that with this dress. She just looked so pretty, confident, and comfortable. And it’s easy to celebrate her Oscar win in that dress as well!

brielarson2016academyawardsoscarspressoonxrguhgn-l

6. Rachel McAdams in August Getty Atelier. Rachel McAdams was definitely on my red carpet radar this season. This silk green gown look beautiful on her. It was quite daring with the backless cutout and leg slit, but it worked for her and she looked super FIERCE. I loved how she pulled back her hair and showed off those dangling earrings that complimented the dress.

5. Jennifer Garner in Atelier Versace. How gorgeous is this dress? The off the shoulder neckline, the train, the sequins and the slim belt accentuating the waist were all on point. Jennifer walked that red carpet like she didn’t have a care in the world despite all the drama surrounding her relationship status and she rocked it.

4. Charlize Theron in Dior. There weren’t too many red dresses out there last night, but this one definitely stood out. Charlize always oozes so much poise and sophistication. I love the simplicity of the dress and how the train flows across the red carpet. She also paired it with a long necklace down the low neckline of the dress which was a beautiful match.charlizetheron88thannualacademyawards3flhuhozawml

3. Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad. Priyanka Chopra was a vision in white lace. This dress looked so gorgeous! When I first saw this dress on her, I knew that she would be in my top 3 best dressed. I love florals and I love mermaid style dresses and I just simply love this dress. This is one of those time where the statement “She WORE that dress” comes into play. I apologize for my lack of eloquence, but all I can say is that it was stunning.

2. Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture. I admit that I’m biased considering how much I love J Law. But come on! What’s not to love about this dress? She decided to go a bit darker with the dress color in comparison to previous years and for some reason seeing her in this black lace dress made her look more mature and bold – it felt right on her. Also lovin’ the lighter hair color on her.

1. Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton. Before this awards season, I had no idea who Alicia Vikander was but now i’ll be on the look out for all her fashion choices and future projects. She was covered head to toe in Louis Vuitton from her dress to her shoes and earrings. I saw a headline saying something about her looking like Belle from Beauty and the Beast and I couldn’t agree more. She’s a modern day Belle for sure, beautiful, poised and intelligent. I like that the hem of the dress is hiked up a bit, which shows off her heels. The silver embelishments are perfect too as they allow her to keep the accessories to a minimum.

And there you have it! I can’t wait till red carpet seasons starts up again, so I can admire all the beautiful dresses. Who were your best dressed of the night?

Stay tuned for some bonus looks at the Oscars’ Viewing/After Parties!

Best Dressed: 2016 SAG Awards Edition

The 2016 red carpet season continued with last night’s SAG Awards and for the most part, a lot of the looks were very simple and somewhat casual compared to the Golden Globes or the upcoming Oscars. Either way, our favorite actors and actresses still rocked the red carpet with confidence and style. Make sure you read to the end to see my FAVORITE looks of them all. (All photos from Zimbio)

25 & UNDER CLUB – These stars, all 25 years of age and under, kept it fresh and fun with their looks. When they grow up and bloom more as actresses, I don’t doubt that they’ll still be setting the trends for their generation and continue to be fashion icons.

Kiernan Shipka (16) seemed to have the most fun on the red carpet! While the photo I chose might make you question that statement, most of the other photos were of her laughing and smiling huge. The Mad Men star chose to wear a floral Erdem dress and kept it simple with minimal jewelry (Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and Irene Neuwirth rings).

Maisie Williams (18) kept it cool in a blue Ermanno Scervino dress. While the others decided to go with floor length gowns, she decided to show off her Nicholas Kirkwood heels. I always love to see Maisie dress up for these things, just because it’s so different from Arya Stark on Game of Thrones.

25 & Under SAGSaoirse Ronan (21) kept it quite conservative with a long sleeve Michael Kors dress, but she looked so elegant. To me, the pale pink color and floral pattern made it such a beautiful dress. It was very fitting for Saoirse and I’m glad she decided to pull her hair back into a bun to show off those Forevermark Diamonds

Sophie Turner (19) gave me some Game of Thrones/Sansa Stark feels with her black Carolina Herrera gown. She came out looking fierce, fabulous, and confident just like when Sansa stark decided she wasn’t going to take any more bull from anyone at the end of Season 4. She also kept it minimal with the jewelry and showed off her Jimmy Choo clutch as an accessory

Sarah Hyland (25) stunned in a navy J. Mendel gown. This was Sarah’s sixth year in a row at the SAG awards so we all know she’s not a newbie when it comes to red carpet season. I loved the little detail in the front of her dress and the fact that she confidently rocked that leg slit.  And of course, just like the first time we saw her back in 2010, she kept it fun and always had a smile on her face. P.S. The Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira jewelry = ::heart eyes::

THE VETERANS: These actresses have been in showbiz for 15+ years so they know a thing or two about rocking the red carpet.

Rachel McAdams stunned in a black and nude Elie Saab gown. The floral pattern and sparkling embellishments had her shining on the red carpet. But her dress wasn’t the only thing shining, did you see the diamonds (Harry Kotlar diamond earrings and rings, and a Le Vian diamond ring) she was rocking? I’m trying to imagine the dress without the mesh top, but either way she makes that neckline work!

Kate Winslet kept it classy in a green Armani gown. Normally, I’m not a fan of the color green when it comes to clothing, but this is an exception. She joked in an interview that she didn’t even look in the mirror before hitting the red carpet, but here she is keeping it classy. This dress was so perfect for her body. I also loved the natural make up and classic hairdo. The look is so simple, but so beautiful and fitting.

VeteransSAG2016Viola Davis didn’t just win a SAG Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series (for the 2nd time in a row). She definitely won on the red carpet with this lavender Zac Posen dress. It complimented her body so well especially that off the shoulder neckline! The make up matched perfectly and so did the jewelry.

Marisa Tomei was another stunner in green! This low-cut Zuhair Murad dress sparkled with sequins. The pairing with the white belt was perfect and the long sleeves gave it such an elegant feel.

LITCHFIELD REPRESENTING!: OITNB won Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series again and some of them won on the red carpet as well!OINTBSAG2016Samira Wiley was a vision in this white Christian Siriano dress! I guess she was inspired by some of this years Golden Globes looks. It was another simple look on the red carpet, but it still stood out among the rest and she made sure that she added a pop of color with her jewelry.

Laverne Cox is always rocking the red carpet and this is probably my favorite look of hers so far. This cascading maroon dress is part of Prabal Gurung‘s collection. The little peek-a-boo slit at the waist and the leg slit was perfect and made her look like a fierce goddess!

PRETTY IN PINK: Grease Live just aired and these ladies seemed to be inspired by the Pink Ladies and made sure to add some brightness to the red carpet.

PrettyInPinkSAG2016Diane Guerrero rocked a mermaid style gown by Christian Siriano and it did not disappoint. She decided to keep the trend and step away from a necklace to bring attention to the sweetheart neckline of her dress.

Emilia Clarke kept it sleek and sultry in a low cut Dior Haute Couture. It was definitely a different direction from her black Golden Globes dress. While that dress screamed “Khaleesi”, this dress screamed “fun and flirty Khaleesi”. And I absolutely loved that she paired it with some matching Dior jewelry.

Sofia Vergara, just like her Modern Family co-star Sarah Hyland, is used to walking the red carpet and she always makes heads turn. Personally, I’m not usually blown away by her red carpet looks but I’m actually a fan of this Vera Wang number on her.

COMEDIAN BFFs: At the Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer stole the show, but they aren’t the only comedian BFFs in Hollywood!

Tina Fey was a lady in red and I’m a sucker for red dresses because if you didn’t know by now, my favorite color is red. But enough about me. This halter gown was designed by Prabal Gurung. Fey paired it off with some beautiful Mouawad earrings and Vivier clutch.ComedyBFFsSAG2016

Kristen Wiig kept it simple and decided to opt out of a dress and went for a Roland Mouret jumpsuit. And you know what? It works for the SAG Awards because its one of the award shows that are more relaxed and

My Absolute Favorites of the Night:  Now onto the dresses the took my breath away and had me react the most.

BestDressedSAG2016 Laura Prepon stunned me in this white Carmen Marc Valvo Couture dress. I’m going to be honest, I’m not usually a fan of her red carpet looks, but this look made me bust out my real life heart eyes emojis. The color against her skin tone and the contrast with her dark cascading waves, she looked like such a classic Hollywood beauty.

Alicia Vikander geometric patterned Louis Vuitton dress is one you can’t forget. Out of the three of these actresses, her dress was my favorite. At the Globes, she decided to go with a simple white dress, but the SAG choice was sequins galore with metallic colors. It was a pretty bold choice for the SAG Awards. I like her with this type of neckline and if this was her choice for this show, I wonder how she’s going to step it up at the Oscars. No pressure, Alicia. No pressure at all.

Brie Larson’s in this Atelier Versace gown gave me mixed emotions, but after much thought, I realized I actually liked [most of] it. First off, there’s no doubt that I loved the pastel blue color on her. I liked that she toned it down a bit from that gold number at the Globes (which was one of my favorites anyways). It kind of reminded me of a toga which gave her this Greek Goddess look.  Oh and the fact that she paired the dress with some Tiffany and co. Jewelry is perfect. The only thing that I can’t get on board with is the rope detail at the hip and upper abdomen, but I do think it looks nice at the shoulder.

And those were my best dressed ladies of the night, but I can’t forget about the handsome men that stepped out. Here are a few of the actors that stood out to me:

BlueShadesSAG2016Keegan-Michael Key, Idris Elba, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Anthony Mackie & Iwan Rheon opted for shades of blue which seems to be a big trend for the men of the red carpet.

Tom Cullen, bae Pedro Pascal, the adorable Jacob Tremblay, bae Kit Harington, & Rami Malek decided to keep it classic in fitted black tuxedos and they did not disappoint me one bit.

BestInBlackSAG

You’ve reached the end! Congrats! Thank you for sticking with me. What were your favorite looks of the 2016 SAG Awards red carpet?

Best Dressed at the 2016 Golden Globes

It’s my favorite season of the year — red carpet season! And what better way to start off the year than with the 73rd Annual Golden Globes?

As I watched the live red carpet and waited for the photos to come in, I started an excel sheet with a list of my favorite dresses. I’m still sitting here wondering how I’m going to narrow it down to a few dresses, but I’m sure I’ll get through it somehow.

Along the 2016 Golden Globes red carpet, I saw a lot of white, red, and gold gowns as well as sequins and capes and most of them did not disappoint!

GAME CHANGERS:

Photos Courtesy of E!Online. Gina Rodriguez (L) & Zendaya Coleman (R)

After last year in her simple yet stunning black Badgley Mishka gown, Gina Rodriguez kept it dark with a navy, off the shoulder dress by Zac Posen. She walked the red carpet confidently and that is what I love about her. The Neil Lane jewelry complimented the look and just like Gina, I’d want to keep it too. Also, I admire the fact that this dress has pockets.

Zendaya is the fashion icon of her generation and I know she will continue to set the standards. She wants to change the game and I don’t doubt that she will. She wore a burgundy Marchesa dress and to me she would be the only one that could pull it off!

STAY GOLD:

Photos Courtesy of E!Online.

Photos Courtesy of E!Online. Eva Green (L), Brie Larsen, & Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (R)

Best Actress Brie Larsen was golden at the Globes! When I first saw her walk the red carpet, I thought she looked stunning and immediately knew that she would be one of my top picks. This gown was custom made by Calvin Klein and she rocked it! Brie wasn’t the only one to go gold. Eva Green also decided to go gold with sequins in a lace Ellie Saab gown and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stunned in a gold Atelier Versace gown.

QUEENS OF WESTEROS:

Photos Courtesy of E!Online.

Photos Courtesy of E!Online. Natalie Dormer (L) & Emilia Clarke (R)

Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer decided to go with a red, off the shoulder J. Mendel gown. It was held up by a black neck piece and if you know me black and red is my favorite color combination. However, I almost kind of wish it was a silver/diamond neck piece, but I guess that would’ve been too predictable. Dormer’s GoT co-star Emilia Clarke also stunned with a black Valentino gown and she definitely looked like a Khaleesi with that cape!

FUNNY GIRLS:

Photos Courtesy of E!Online. BFF Goals Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer

Photos Courtesy of E!Online. BFF Goals Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer

Remember when I was talking about Natalie Dormer’s red gown with the black neck piece? Well Jennifer Lawrence was also rocking a red gown, but with a silver neck piece. I may be biased because I absolutely love J. Law. But come on, don’t you agree that she looked amazing in Dior? I love the little peek-a-boo cutouts on the side (I have no knowledge of fashion terms..can you tell? hehe). It’s elegant, yet sexy — very suiting for the Best Actress in a Comedy movie.

J. Law’s newest BFF Amy Schumer looked quite pretty on the red carpet as well. Actually, her black and white Prabal Gurung dress sort of reminded me a lot of Blake Lively’s Gucci dress from the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. I loved that dress, so this dress also stood out to me.

VISIONS IN WHITE:

Photos Courtesy of E!Online.

Photos Courtesy of E!Online. Lily James (L), Alicia Vikander, Laverne Cox (R)

Lily James is beautiful in a sheer Marchesa gown. She may not have had the iconic Cinderella gown with glass slippers, but she was still an angelic vision in white.

At first I was on the fence with Alicia Vikander‘s Louis Vuitton dress but after a while it grew on me. She looked very poised and elegant. How an actress carries herself on the red carpet definitely contributes to how great a dress looks.

Laverne Cox always kills it on the red carpet. For her first time at the Globes she decided to go with a white Elizabeth Kennedy gown. The only thing that worries me is the train and someone stepping on it. I would cry if I saw a footprint or something.

CLASSIC BEAUTIES:

Photos Courtesy of E!Online.

Photos Courtesy of E!Online.

I will always admire Sophia Bush. She will always be Brooke Davis to me. Sophia was chosen to present an award tonight and she kept it simple & sexy in a low cut Narciso Rodriguez gown.

Lady Gaga, who is also another best actress of the night, looked so glamorous. She looked so poised and elegant, clearly the epitome of classic Hollywood glam in this Atelier Versace gown

Jennifer Lopez was a vision on the red carpet. Normally, I’m not a fan of bright colored dresses, but she rocked this Giambattista Valli gown so hard. It’s J. Lo for goodness sake. She rocks everything. I loved the cape and the diamond accents & accessories.

There will always be something so captivating about Amber Heard. I loved the rose colored sheer gown, but I could do without the floral neckline. Nevertheless, this Gucci gown on her still made her look like a classic beauty.

Joanne Froggatt in this lavender Reem Acra gown was beautiful. It’s simple yet elegant and I really loved this color on her.

DAPPER MEN

Photos Courtesy of Zimbio.

Photos Courtesy of Zimbio. Ryan Gosling (L), Grant Gustin, & Charlie Puth (R)

Who doesn’t love a man in a tux? A lot of the men went with the classic black tux, but Ryan Gosling decided to go with the white blazer. I can’t find any pics of Grant Gustin on the red carpet, but all I know is that he looks so dreamy in that John Varvatos tux :heart eyes:. And last but not least, we have the cutie Charlie Puth. We don’t normally get to see him in a tux, but he cleans up very well.

If you’ve reached this, I thank you for sticking with me. What were your favorite looks of the 2016 Golden Globes red carpet?
