Now Watching: Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists “…If One of Them is Dead” (1×3) | A Recap

Last week on Pretty Little Liars: The PerfectionistsAlison decided to provide an alibi for her and her three students. To make sure they’re all on the same page, she invites them over and unplugs Beacon Guard. What a great way to make it obvious.

Dana Booker, the new head of security, obviously doesn’t believe their story as she shows Claire Hotchkiss a photo of the three students meeting in front of Thorne Hall before Nolan’s untimely death.

Claire doesn’t believe that Caitlin has anything to do with Nolan’s death and believes that she’ll be the first to break. She advises Dana to target Caitlin first. Out of the three, Caitlin seems to be the most eager to keep up appearances as Nolan’s “perfect posse” and that includes volunteering at her care package drive. Dylan and Ava aren’t too interested any more, especially with Dylan’s anniversary and Ava’s Vogue interview.

Ali is on a mission to figure out who is trying to frame her and her students. Mona is her go to for information, but Mona reveals that she is locked out of Beacon Guard due to suspicious activity. There is one person who doesn’t want to be found!

Life must go on and that includes class. Nolan’s former best friend, Mason makes a bold move and sits in Nolan’s seat. Caitlin has a bit trouble speaking up, while Ava gets angry and storms out. As Caitlin attempts to run after Ava, Dana Booker stops her and reveals that she knows her mother’s secret.

Ali meets Mason outside of class and he made a complete 180 from the funeral. He is arrogant and his true feelings about Nolan emerges. Mason reminisces about the perks of being in Nolan’s circle, but things changed when they started at BHU, especially considering Nolan stole Caitlin.

While Caitlin struggles at her drive sans her two new besties, the other two have their own struggles. Ava contemplates how she is the perfect choice for Vogue and gets drunk in the process. Dylan on the other hand struggles with a new composition and pictures of him and Nolan start to haunt him. Dana Booker and her perfect timing gets into Dylan’s head. “You’re nothing like Ava and Caitlin.”

Caitlin decides to meet with Claire for help with Dana Booker and the family secret. In exchange to keep Caitlin’s secret, Claire asks Caitlin to find out the other’s secrets. And just like that, Caitlin breaks, just like she predicted. Claire also gives Caitlin a gift that she found from Nolan.

Caitlin finds out that the said gift from Nolan was actually meant for Ava – a broken camera lens symbolizing how much Nolan wanted to protect Ava. She visits Ava, moreso to get information, but her conscience stops herself from snooping. Ava thinks Caitlin went out of her way to do something nice and decides to keep her promise to join her volunteering.

Ava decides to drive the three of them to a cabin in the woods. On the night of Nolan’s death, Ava had followed him there and saw him with a blond. At the time she thought he was cheating, but now believes it had to be something else. They’re visit is interrupted by an unexpected intruder, Alison. They all explore for clues, but claim to find nothing!

On the way home, Dylan reveals he found a gum wrapper similar to the one found in the woods. The drive is cut short when Dylan has to puke. Apparently, someone left Nolan’s stash in Ava’s trunk with a little note and present – “One of you is a rat, you tell or I will.” My favorite part of this scene was Ava picking up a dead rat and throwing it away. She’s a badass.

Alison also lied about not finding anything. She returns to the cabin alone and takes home a yellow rose, which still seemed to be fresh. After doing some Instagram research, she finds that a yellow rose is associated with Taylor Hotchkiss.

At this point, everyone seems to be opening up to each other. The three gives each other a pep talk. Dylan opens up his music to the girls, Caitlin is seen smiling about her volunteer efforts, and Ava decided to do her Vogue interview sober. Her monologue was my favorite as she started with,”I am not a perfect choice for the Vogue internship..” She talks about perfection and how it doesn’t exist – how it’s okay to ask for help.

The ending scene shows Mason offering to walk Caitlin home. She declines but notices a very similar gum wrapper as seen in the woods and the cabin. Mason is definitely hiding something.

Also, do you know how much I love the little quips between Alison and Mona?
Alison: Do you know why I faked my own death?
MonaBecause everyone in Rosewood wanted to kill you?
Alison: Not everyone!

TLDR: One of the perfectionists almost breaks, but they all finally open up to each other. Mason is not at all who he appears to be.

Leave me your thoughts in the comments or at any of my socials!

It’s over. – A (A farewell post to Pretty Little Liars)

Dear PLL fandom,

I had no idea what I was getting myself into seven years ago on June 8, 2010 when the Pilot episode of Pretty Little Liars aired. I hadn’t read the books and I definitely hadn’t watched anything religiously on ABC Family. There was Greek, but that was on and off and no other original show on the network was able to captivate me.

At the time, my favorite show Smallville announced its final season, Gossip Girl was in between the 3rd and 4th season and another favorite, Glee, was finishing its first season.  But let’s face it, I was turning 21 and still much into those teenage, coming of age shows. Plus, Ashley Benson was my favorite (and still is). And as a huge fan, I had to support my girl!

So then the day came, the Pilot began and I was hooked. It started with 4 young girls starting a new school year one year after the leader of their pack went missing. The episode introduced us to the characters we’ve loved for seven seasons.

We were first introduced to Aria Montgomery, the artsy girl who went through a little goth phase, returning to Rosewood after one year in Iceland with her family. During that year, she held on to one huge secret: her dad’s affair with his student. Things also get complicated when she hooked up with her future English teacher, Ezra Fitz. The eye contact the two share during the revelation was one of the most iconic scenes of the series.

Next came Emily Fields, the sweet girl on the swim team, with the popular jock boyfriend.  I’d like to think she was part of a conservative family, with her mom part of the neighborhood welcoming committee and her father in the army. Life gets a little complicated when she is constantly reminded of [her love for] Alison, while a new girl moves into Alison’s old house. Sexuality is questioned and in a small town like Rosewood, that’s unheard of.

Spencer Hastings then graced us with her presence. She was almost the epitome of overachiever. With the Hastings name, you’ve got to be especially with Melissa Hastings as an older sister. Spencer was the girl involved with everything, intelligent and outspoken. She was striving for good grades to get into an ivy league college and follow in the footsteps of her lawyer parents. But then she strayed away from the perfection, when Melissa’s boyfriends decided that she may be the better Hastings daughter.

And then there was Hanna Marin, formally known as “Hefty Hanna”, who transformed over one summer to become one of the most popular girls in school. She lived in the shadow of Alison DiLaurentis. Getting body shamed by her “close” friend, her confidence and self esteem was low. Her father leaving her and her mom didn’t help, either. So Hanna’s motto was practically, “new year, new me” and with her new popular girl title along with a trusty sidekick, Mona Vanderwaal, she was able to step out of Alison’s shadow. But the whole problem was maintaining her top spot and getting the attention she longed for. Hanna Marin will always be my favorite character.

What did those 4 girls have in common? Alison DiLaurentis, the girl who knew all of their secrets. However, she was the girl they knew nothing about. She was the glue to the group up until she disappeared, but that suddenly changed when “Alison’s body” was found and an anonymous stalker decides to start playing mind games with the girls. Alison’s “death” brings the girls back together and just like that the Pilot set the whole premise of the show.

For seven years, Pretty Little Liars ruled social media. They’re practically known to be the most social television show on air, with so much social media engagement from fans. It’s safe to say that it was the pioneer of trending topics when it came to TV shows and live tweeting along around the world. It allowed fans and those involved with the show to communicate with each other. Every Tuesday since it has aired, fans have been able to get PLL trending with hashtags like #PLL, #WhoIsA, #betrAyal, #WorldWarA, #Poor[Insert character name], etc. And of course the main hashtag for this season, #PLLEndGame, which tailored not only to the game, but obviously to the PLL relationships. #Ezria, #Spoby, #Haleb, & #Emison. I was only a year into Twitter by the time the show aired, and it definitely had me talking and more active on the web. The downside was all the spoilers. But I didn’t have an issue – I absolutely loved/love spoilers.

I think people have learned over the years, that if you don’t want to be spoiled, you better stay off social media until you watch the episodes. It’s so much more fun to live tweet. That’s why I ended up having a separate twitter just for that fact.

Since the Pilot, I’ve stuck through it and my obsession for television grew stronger as I dedicated a new Tumblr to my love for entertainment: PrettyLittleGossipGleek. The name was fitting for me as it was three shows on air that I absolutely loved that made me feel more like me. I started to make gifs and fanart of my favorite moments, something I enjoyed doing and something that kept my mind off of reality. One time TvGuide used one of my gifs, #ganstAtoby, and to this day, I’m very proud of it. HAHA

tumblr_mhf842acls1qenwoao1_r1_500

Pretty Little Liars always had me at the edge of my seat with all the cliffhangers and kept my mind going, thinking of all the possible outcomes to the question,”Who is A?” I think that anything that gives you several mind f**ks is worth watching.

I watch a lot of television, and very rarely do I dream about them. Pretty Little Liars was an exception. I dreamt about running away from “A”, so obviously the show managed to sneak it’s way into my sub conscience.

But enough about me..

To the endgame couples —

Ezria: For a long time you were my favorite #PLL couple. The chemistry was unreal. I’ll never forget the first time Aria and Ezra met and the look of shock a few days later in Mr. Fitz’ English class. You were a forbidden love, like Romeo and Juliet, sneaking behind everyone’s back. It was starting to get toxic because you were holding each other back. And then the love story took a turn when Ezra was revealed to be stalking the girls for inspiration for a novel. True feelings were tested and you both entered intoseveral other relationship, but in the end you found your way back to each other. To all the haters, stop. It started off as a relationship based on lies, but the truth is that they make each other happy.

tumblr_lybjawzb5x1qenwoao4_r1_500

Spoby: Your relationship didn’t start from the beginning and I think that’s what drew me in to you. I’m not going to pretend that I didn’t love Alex for Spencer in the first season. I loved them and their somewhat forbidden love, but Alex left and the relationship with Toby came out of nowhere.  As I rewatched the first season, it’s clear that Spencer had strong negative feelings towards Toby. Toby was that creepy bad boy that hardly said a word, so it’s understandable. He was a suspect in the murder of Alison DiLaurentis for goodness sake. That didn’t go well with a lot of people, but Spencer, you sympathized with him and gave him a chance. Sure, you took a French tutoring job just to find answers about Alison, but I’m sure you didn’t expect to fall in love with Toby. I’m sure you didn’t expect to even like or understand him. A part of me thanks Emily for somewhat bringing you two together. When your relationship was threatened by “A”, you kind of gave up easily. You both tried to protect each other, doing things that broke the trust you built. Eventually you grew up and realized maybe you weren’t meant to be in each other’s future as a significant other. Your break up was by far the worst. It broke my heart the most, especially with the possibility that you weren’t endgame. But fate has a funny way of working and in the end, you two still shared a love for each other. That’s all that matters. In my head you make it. You were #RelationshipGoals.

tumblr_lnkwn5itmn1qenwoao1_1280

Emison: You made it from beginning to end, but not without the ups and downs and occasional mind games. Emily was always so sure of her feelings for Alison. The latter not so much. Honestly, I was never really a fan of any of Emily’s girlfriends (well maybe Samara because I love Claire Holt). I always thought that Alison would one day return Emily’s feelings. But I admit, it was an unhealthy relationship. When they were young, Alison always led Emily on. She gave her hope that wasn’t really there. I mean, Alison always had Emily wrapped around her finger and Emily constantly forgave the girl. But that’s the thing about Emily, she sees the best in people and gives them [constant] chances even if they do her wrong. Although the pregnancy was pretty messed up, I’m happy that it brought the two of you together along with two cute Emison babies. Along with some instigating from Paige, it helped Alison realize her feelings for her best friend. That proposal was the cutest thing because come on…I think we all thought Emily would’ve been the one to propose. AND how cute was it that Pam gave Alison her blessing? I guess you could say you’re soulmates.

Haleb: I remember when you two first met. You were practically bickering like an old married couple and to this day you still do. Only difference is that you’re actually married now! You know what they say, opposites attract. Your relationship basically started on a lie though, with Caleb acting as Jenna’s spy. But just like Spoby, falling in love probably wasn’t part of the plan. When Caleb ran away to Ravenswood, I wasn’t sure if he’d be back (I liked Ravenswood and thought maybe it would go on longer). You were on and off and like the others, you grew up. Life got in the way. Your different lifestyles got in the way. For a short time I liked Spaleb. It was a random relationship and it caused a strain on other relationships. But the thing about Caleb is that he’s loyal and will do everything in his power to protect the people he loves and I love him for that. I love him for loving and protecting Hanna. It took me a while, but watching season 7, I finally appreciated the relationship that is Haleb. Also, I always think about how both of them were on Days of Our Lives, at different times.

To my favorite guy, Ezra Fitz: You will always be my favorite English teacher. You were straight out of college, nerdy and adorable AF. You played the girls for a little and I was Aria when the truth was revealed. But I forgave you. How can I not? I feel like you’re the one guy who had the most secrets. Maybe it’s the mystery that is Ezra Fitzgerald that captivated me because even though the series has ended, I still feel like you’re hiding something. On a side note, I miss your brother Wesley.

tumblr_n1860vrcao1qenwoao1_500

To my favorite villain, Mona Vanderwaal: I love you, I really do. I could never really hate you. Even though you were the first “A” to start the game, I still couldn’t dislike you. You’re intelligent. You think outside the box. You’re prepared and detail oriented. Jealousy seeped through your blood and you wanted to be accepted. You just wanted to be loved. You went too far, but somehow you still managed to wiggle your way back inside, even though the others hardly trusted you. I trusted you many times because I didn’t know what else to think about you. I trusted you because I know you wanted to protect your “friends”. Ultimately, someone stole the game from you and you were determined to win. Your passion and drive is probably what I admire the most. In the end, I couldn’t decipher whose side you were on, but you won and got your happy ending. You’re no longer Loser Mona. You were never a loser though, just misunderstood.

tumblr_m164pmgset1qenwoao1_500

To my favorite character, Hanna Marin: I see myself in you the most. Your back story hit me hardest. To this day, I still have low self esteem when it comes to my body image. But I’d like to think I’m good at faking it. You came from a broken family and you faked it til you made it. You wanted this sense of love and acceptance and it took a while for you to feel that. But you learned to love yourself and you learned to say what you feel. There were so many layers to you and I’m glad we were able to see them unravel over the seasons. You may not have been book smart, but you were street smart. You made me laugh many times. But you were also the source of my tears as I watched PLL. I never liked to see you being tortured or hurt. It broke my heart every time because you didn’t deserve any of it. The thing I admire most about you is your loyalty to your friends, no matter how many times you got hurt. Also, I wish I had your passion for fashion and all your OOTDs. 🙂

tumblr_osao8m2iat1qenwoao5_500

To my favorite actress, Ashley BensonBENZOooO. You’ve been my favorite forever. I mean, you were practically the reason why I started watching PLL. From being Abby Deveraux on DOOL to Carson on Bring It On: In It to Win It, I followed you on to your biggest project yet. We’re the same age, so in a weird sense I feel like we grew up together and a part of me wishes I was part of your #SQUAD. I was able to meet you once and it remains one of my favorite moments ever in my almost 28 years of existence. You were the sweetest person ever and i’m not just saying this because I love you. I absolutely adore your sense of humor, your style, your personality and the way you love and support your family/friends, Olive, and Walter. I absolutely adore YOU. Thank you for being my inspiration to do the things I love. Thank you for playing a character I absolutely love and connect with. Thank you for doing that epic dance scene in Season 5. And thank you for just being you and allowing us fans into your world. I love you!

To A.D, you’re awful. What kind of person wants to get rid of their twin sister so they can live in their shoes? All the awards to Troian Bellisario for bringing not just one great character, but two. Sure, Spencer and Alex looked alike, but they were so different and you were able to portray that to us viewers. The only similar thing I see between the two, is the yearning to be part of a family.

To the WHOLE cast, it’s been quite the 7 years, hasn’t it? You all practically grew up in the show, especially Sasha. To think she was only 13 when she shot the Pilot! Even I feel like i’ve grown up with you all. And then in Season 5 you started playing characters closer to your age and it felt even more relatable. Not that I have a stalker in my life, but just the fact that you were all in your twenties trying to figure out life. I lived vicariously through each and every one of you, through the drama and relationships. Thank you for bringing these characters to life and not giving up on your fans. Not only did people fall in love with your characters, but with you as actors. Even though things were so dramatic on cam, off camera you brought us some great BTS laughter and fun. It’s so great to see actors and actresses who have been on the show continue to do awesome projects. There’s a reason this show stuck around for so long and you all are why.

Untitled-4.jpg

To the directors, writers, producers, and crew behind it all: First off, thank you Sara Shepard. Without you there would be no Pretty Little Liars. Your mind and creativity came up with this whole universe. You had these characters and constant mystery that captivated your audience. And I thank you for that. I hope one day I’ll get to reading all the books! Marlene King, thank you for bringing the books to screen. I’m pretty sure that this was one of the most popular book to tv adaptation. Thank you for taking that risk and bringing the whole team together to create the magic that is PLL. I can’t wait to see what else you have in store. And to the rest of the team behind PLL, thank you for the dedication and hard work you put behind the scenes to make sure the viewers got the best experience. From the set, the costume design, the score, the props…you all made PLL the iconic show that it is. Also, shout out to Lisa and Romy for putting up with Ashley and Shay all the time. 😛

It’s been two weeks since the show ended and I meant to post this a few days after, but I just never got to finish it until now. I think a part of me still doesn’t think Pretty Little Liars has ended. I mean, there’s so much that could happen after that finale. Alex and Mary Drake could escape Mona- I’m sure Detective Tanner is wondering where Mary Drake disappeared to and she’s a closer remember? I mean, I’m pretty excited to see the PLL reunion in the future.  It’s an iconic show and will be for many years to come. PLL’s impact in popular culture should not be underestimated.

I can’t wait to see and support each of the cast members in their next projects, but I’m sure nothing will ever replace the love I have for Pretty Little Liars.

To whole PLL fandom, thank you for your passion.

What show should I recap now?

xoxo,

Adele

Who killed Charlotte DiLaurentis? (“Farewell, My Lovely” 7×19 Recap)

First off, let me apologize. This recap is all over the place. I’m all over the place. Next week is #PLLGameOver and I’m not ready.

The penultimate episode starts with our favorite case closer, Detective Tanner, obtaining arrest warrants to make her move against the girls. She must have some solid evidence!

And the body in the back of Aria’s trunk will most likely add to that evidence. Aria, who is stopped by the police, makes up some story about her keys getting stuck and manages to slip away without the police finding the decomposing body.

While Aria drives away she starts having a conversation with the dead body. She manages to convince herself that it’s time to turn the body in to the police and face the consequences. If the Radley Sanitarium was still open, I’m sure Aria would be checked in.

Back at headquarters, Caleb and Ezra reveal to the others that Mona has the game. As expected, Hanna is in disbelief. Ezra, on the other hand, can’t get a hold of Aria and gets angry at the others for turning his fiance away. He has no idea what is going on and I don’t think he has any right to feel this angry towards the others.

We then see Mona return to her apartment only to find the game is gone. Nothing is left, but a note saying, “Time for pie, be there.” A.D. wants to meet at their favorite diner! Unbeknownst to Mona, Hanna and Caleb are hot on her heels.

Spencer manages to run into Mary Drake at the Lost Woods. She claims to have unfinished business and decides to leave a parting gift for Spencer and Alison: The Lost Woods deed. She knows what’s happening and wants them to get the money for lawyers to help them and their friends.

While everyone is off running around trying to tie up all the loose ends, Ali and Emily are home worrying about the outcome of it all. But A.D. has different plans for them as they infiltrate the place with sleeping gas. Later, Emily wakes up from a nightmare to find the game sitting in the living room. It oddly starts playing a recording, “we don’t have a lot of time.”

We find ourselves back with Aria as she is about to go to the police station to present her case, but Ezra finds her in the nick of time. Ezra wants to take Aria away from it all, but Aria cannot leave her friends behind to deal with it alone, not after what she’s done to betray them. While Ezria discusses the next steps, someone decides to pop open the trunk and disappears with the body. How does someone transfer a body so easily?

Mona is sitting at the diner waiting to meet someone about the game, but she didn’t think that Caleb would be the one she’d be sharing apple pie with.  Caleb wants her to confess to everything, but Mona claims she no longer has the game. “SOMEBODY IS ALWAYS STEALING THE GAME FROM ME!” This #EndGame isn’t for you, Mona.

A.D. manages to sneak a note over to Mona to get out and she runs to the ladies’ room as Hanna and Spencer show themselves. Hanna, Spencer and Caleb are too late and later find that there’s a secret doorway. Caleb and Spencer decide to take the tunnel through, advising Hanna to take her car. Although Haleb is endgame, I’ll always have love for the short lived Spaleb. I’m not sorry it happened and I will never forget it!

While waiting to hear back back from Caleb and Spencer, Hanna takes a stroll around Rosewood. She ends up outside the church, as flower petals fall down to her. Her feet bring her to the bell tower only to find Mona is the culprit of the flower petals. Mona is dressed up as her younger self and is out of her mind when she greets Hanna as Charlotte.

We are then taken to a flashback of Mona meeting Charlotte, unhappy with her release from the hospital. Charlotte was obsessed with power and Mona wanted to make sure her friends were safe from her games. Mona then threatens Charlotte with a screwdriver, giving Charlotte the chance to jump on her own rather than Mona pushing her. We are then led to think Mona pushed her as she attacks Hanna in present time. Luckily Spencer and Caleb save Hanna. They feel sorry for Mona and think it’s time to call Dr. Sullivan. As they head back to their cars, the final two puzzle pieces were left and it looks like it was Mona’s turn after all.

Since the girls have all the pieces, it’s now time to claim the Grand Prize – Archer Dunhill’s body.  A.D. leads the girls to Alison’s Aunt Carol, where Charles’ body is. The girls are left with the question, to get rid of the body or let it be? Aria speaks up and thinks it’s time to walk away. If they get rid of the body, A.D. will always something over their head. At first they’re hesitant, but the other follow suit. Their plan is quickly shattered when Detective Tanner and the police show up to dig up the body as well! You don’t want to play A.D.’s game? Well, the police do.

While the girls are taken to the police station, Tanner confirms that the body belonged to one Archer Dunhill. She tells the girls to sit tight, before walking into another room with a two sided mirror revealing Mary Drake confessing to murdering Archer Dunhill and Jessica DiLaurentis. When Mary said she knew everything, she was not lying.

The girls are in disbelief. And so am I. Of course, I don’t want to see my girls go to jail, but it seems like they’re off the hook at least with the police. Tanner obviously knows that the girls aren’t innocent, but she’d rather go with the easy confession. What she says to them is probably a few of my favorite quotes: “What I believe and what I can prove are two different things.” and “You’re not criminals, not really. Try and remember that.” Detective Tanner knows more than she’s letting on. As Mary Drake walks away in custody, she signals to Spencer to not say a word. Mothers will do anything to protect their children.

After their long night, they all return to Mona to apologize and help her. “You needed me. You don’t know how that felt like.” Sometimes a girl just wants to be loved. At this point, Mona seems to be calmer and in a better state of mind and confesses what else went wrong on the night Charlotte died. She didn’t actually push Charlotte. She planned on letting her live a life of hell. Things went south when they break into a fight and Mona slams Charlotte into the wall, where a pipe stabs her in the neck. Charlotte died by accident and Mona did a very good job and covering it up.

Morning arises and A.D. congratulates them on a job well done. The game is dead. It’s over. A.D. has nothing else to play with. A.D. can’t mess with the squad. As the girls leave the game behind, the final scene takes us to A.D. driving away in the sunset to the tune of “Without You” with the girls’ game pieces in a Ziploc bag. Whoever A.D. is, they obviously can’t live without the girls’ love.

I rambled too much about this episode. It was really hard to write this considering next week is the series finale. This episode almost left me in tears knowing that the end is near.

Also, I have no A.D. expectations. I learned not to theorize after the Gossip Girl fiasco. But I’m open to your thoughts!

xoxo,

The Girls are forced to “Choose or Lose”! (7×18 PLL Recap)

Hey little liars! We’re nearing the end and tonight’s episode finally revealed some truth.

The episode starts off with Emison sharing a sweet moment that’s later interuppted by the police who happen to have a search warrant handy. However, the DiLaurentis home isn’t the only place being raided. They hit Spencer first and headed over to Hanna’s before making their way to Aria’s. While Ezra is caught off guard, Aria makes sure she shreds the prize she received last week. Also, among the craziness A.D.’s game goes missing.

An angry Spencer barges into the Rosewood Police Station demanding to see Detective Furey; She’s “FUREY”ious. But she’s placed face to face with Detective Tanner. Furey pulled himself out of the case, which is definitely a good idea since it’s a conflict of interest and we all know what happened to the others.”I always thought you were guilty of something…”, Tanner says and we all know Tanner won’t stop till she gets answers.

In the police search all phones were confiscated, but A.D. was smart enough to leave something behind for his latest team player, Aria. Aria demands to meet A.D. and they hesitantly oblige.

But A.D. doesn’t forget about the other girls who are waiting to hear from Aria. A.D. provides some great room service at the Radley Hotel and instead of food, they leave another cell phone to continue the game. It seems to be the last turn and it’s for all of them. “Choose or Lose”: they have to choose between turning one person in or everyone loses the game and goes to jail. Mona decides to crash the party with perfect timing, “If you want an explanation, you might want to ask Aria,” Mona interjects and she has proof!

Toby has returned and runs into Spencer. He was called back to be questioned by Detective Tanner. Toby warns Spencer that Tanner is building a solid case against her and the others.

Aria meets A.D. at the park, only to receive texts indicating that A.D. is watching her. Aria runs off when she hears a noise and is caught black-hoodied (red-handed) by the girls! Aria does not deny her involvement with A.D and as expected, the others are not happy with their so-called friend. Detective Tanner interrupts the heated confrontation by calling the girls to the station regarding all the evidence the police has against them. She offers them an out to hear their side of the story, but no one budges.

“I don’t like sloppiness on my team,” says to Aria as she calls A.D. to exclaim that’s she’s out. Aria’s been sloppy the whole time, I’m surprised A.D. didn’t get rid of her sooner. Either way, A.D. doesn’t grant Aria’s request and tells her to wait til tomorrow for a new revelation.

Spencer visits Aria for answers. Aria pleads with Spencer that she’ll do anything to fix it all and Spencer just wants her to stop. However, their conversation is interrupted when Tanner barges in with all of Aria’s belonging claiming she’s off the suspect list for the murder. Apparently, there is proof that Aria was 300 miles away on the night of Archer’s murder. It’s unbelievable and Spencer believes so too as she leaves unhappy.

Amongst the madness that A.D. and the murder investigation has brought on, the girls decide to spend time with their loved ones before everything hits the fan.

Aria decides to tell Ezra everything. It turns out he knew about the report that Aria was going to file. He forgives Aria, but a part of me feels like he knows a lot more about other things. Either way, all seems to be forgiven and Aria gets Ezra’s support and love.

Caleb decides now is the best time to get married and with Ashley’s blessing, Haleb has a civil wedding. Caleb will do anything to protect Hanna, and I love him for that.

Alison decides to take Emily out on a date. They decide to have a little picnic in the woods that leads to more. Like Hanna mentioned earlier in the episode, it’s about time!

Spencer accepts Toby’s invitation to come to his cabin. She shows up on his doorstep and ;let’s it all out. It warms my heart that Toby is always there for Spencer no matter what.

One day I hope to find someone to share love with like Haleb, Spoby, Ezria, and Emison. But I digress.

Later on they all choose to meet sans Aria. Time is almost up and they make a pact that no one is to blame for whatever happens next. A.D. starts the countdown and it’s finally time for them to choose or lose. Their choice? Spencer decides to destroy the cell phone. It’s all or nothing!

Back at Ezra’s, Aria decides she’s done again. She thinks she has a choice and intends to  turn herself in. But A.D. says she’s too late and Aria wins the grand prize, unlimited freedom. With that, the phone blows up. Aria leaves and tries to get a hold of Spencer, but the call ends and her car stops. Aria gets a little surprise in the trunk, a corpse.

The final scene brings us to Ezra and Caleb on their search for the game board. The sensors lead to Mona’s apartment and we see her admiring the game as the jail slowly pops up.

Two more episodes to go and I’m not prepared. I won’t make any serious guesses about A.D. because I don’t want to have high expectations. It happened with Gossip Girl and I was left angry. I won’t allow myself to feel this way towards Pretty Little Liars.

A second book emerges on #PLL (7×16 Recap)

Happy Tuesday little liars! It’s recap time yet again and I’m getting bummed thinking about the fact that after tonight there are only 4 more episodes left. Anyone feeling the same?

Last week, Detective Furey sent Spencer a warning regarding her possible involvement in the murder of Archer Dunhill and this week things went a little further. The episode (“The Glove that Rocks the Cradle” 7×16) starts off with Spencer getting questioned by the Rosewood Police about her little rendez vous at the Radley Bar. Detective Furey tries to convince Spencer to admit to her involvement before he gets the evidence, but Spencer has done this too many times to let it all go now.

At this point, the girls are determined to clean up their mess and make sure the receipt from the bar is nowhere to be found. Hanna recruits Caleb since he is the one that can shut down security for 10 minutes at the Radley hotel. Hanna isn’t just trying to save her ass, but she feels like her and Caleb owe it to Spencer because of what happened the night she was at the bar getting drunk. Later in the episode, Caleb apologizes to Spencer about what happened and my Spaleb feels got the best of me.

But while Hanna is focused on getting rid of the evidence, A.D. lets them know it’s Hanna’s turn yet again. Unbeknownst to the other girls, Aria’s also playing, but for team A.D.

Hanna’s task is to pick up a hard drive at the computer shop and drop it off at the school. Before the drop off, they find a Patsy Kline song on the drive, which brought Hanna back to the dollhouse. Caleb and Hanna argue about Lucas, and Hanna continues to be in denial about her friend.

Spencer decides she’ll try another tactic over destroying the evidence. She has the guts to meet Detective Furey at his appartment and straight up asks him to turn a blind eye on that infamous night at the bar. It’s too much to ask and let’s face it, Detective who decided to turn a blind eye aren’t around anymore. While Marco declined and stepped away to take a call, Spencer decided to steal a flash drive and what was on it was a lot more exciting than what Caleb and Hanna found on the hard drive.

Spencer stole a video of Lucas confessing that he wasn’t with Hanna the night of Charlotte’s murder. Yup, you read that right! He was Hanna’s alibi, then he came back right after to throw her under the bus. But of course, Hanna is still in denial.

Back on the baby front, Emily is pretty excited. She gets the baby room ready and is looking after Ali. She shows a little too much concern and Ali feels attacked. But during their little quarrel, Emily reveals her fear of Alison leaving her and the baby behind.

Before Hanna runs out to pursue her mission, Mona catches her and explains how she wants to play now. She feels like she’s never really accepted by the squad, no matter how many times she saves them. They have trust issues, Mona, and you’re one of the reasons why. The first thing that comes to mind, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

While Hanna is at Radley with Caleb on the search for the receipt and Emily and Alison are at the school on a stakeout, Aria claims she has to go to a press event for Ezra’s book. However, in reality she was fulfilling her A.D. task. She sneaked into the Emison baby room and completely trashed it. All of Emily’s work was destroyed and I’m sitting here thinking Aria has gone bat sh*% crazy.

While at the school, Alison takes a tumble which causes her and Emily to return home earlier than expected. Aria’s still there and I’m hoping she gets caught. I wonder what Emily would have done if she found Aria. Emily sends an SOS and they all think it’s Lucas. Aria is so distant and messy, I’m surprised no one suspects a thing. I mean, she dropped her earring in the mess!

At Radley, Hanna can’t find the receipt. She tries to go through all the boxes, but time is running out. Caleb’s solution is to drown all the receipts. I hope the insurance covers water damage. I’m sure at this point, A.D. already took the receipt. But I also wonder why Caleb thinks its a good idea to start a flood – it clearly shows that someone is trying to hide evidence.

While this goes on, Mona leaves message for Hanna claiming that Emison mistaked her for Uber A. At this point, someone’s story doesn’t match up since Alison says someone pushed her and ran away.

After the security cameras go back up, Hanna sees Lucas. She calls the girls and they all go to the loft to interrogate him. They find him freaking out over the book and he confesses,  “I may have been part of the reason you were tortured.” He reveals there’s a second book that turned the revenge into a game, but it was never finished. A.D. is about to finish it, but I’m hoping the girls get to rewrite it.

And then the last few minutes of the episode begins. What are each of the girls up to?

After all of it, Hanna still believes in Lucas, believes he was never a part of torturing them and he never intended for anything to happen. The unrequited love got me.

Spencer and Detective Furey have another police interview and Marco is tired of Spencer’s BS. Earlier, Spencer tried using the flashdrive she stole as blackmail, but Marco basically let her know that her friends are next in the investigation since the evidence against her disappeared.”Let’s hope your friends are as lucky as you…”

Alison FINALLY confesses her love for Emily. Who knew Paige would be the one to help her.

Aria comes home to an empty loft. Ezra isn’t around and she finally starts to think about what she’s done – a huge cut on her arm reminds her. She starts to break down, and although as a viewer, I’m angry at her, my heart definitely breaks.

The final scene shows us book 2 of the adventures of “Arcturus”.A.D. starts on the ending and shows us their drawing skills. They draw  a tree and a headstone, “Here lies…”

And that’s it. 4 more episodes are left. Are you ready?

Quote of the episode: “Don’t overestimate someone’s feelings for you. It’s risky.” – Emily.

Comic Book inspires #PLLEndGame! (A PLL 7×15 Recap)

Hi little liars!

I’m a little late on the recap this week, but here I am!

Tonight’s episode, directed by the lovely Troian Bellisario, starts off with Emily and Alison continuing their discussion after the previous bombshell about Emily’s eggs. Emily is in disbelief, and she has ever right to be, so she requests that they get blood tests to make sure. At this point, don’t you think A.D. would get that base covered? Later, Alison receives the results and reveals to Emily that she is the mother of the child Alison’s carrying and Archer Dunhill is NOT the father. Now it’s a matter of whether not Alison will go through with the pregnancy.

Aria continues to be weak AF. I know I keep repeating that, but seriously it seemed like it was so easy for her to turn her back on her friends. She accepts another video message from A.D. and its a creepy Aria filter. A.D. says something about a friendly face, but Aria’s face on A.D. was not friendly looking at all.

The scooby gang meets sans Alison and discuss the photo Pastor Ted provided at summer camp with young Charles and Lucas. While the others doubt Lucas and are set on finding more secrets about him, Hanna does not believe that Lucas has anything to do with A.D. Lucas was always there for Hanna, so it’s understandable, but that could have been Lucas’ game all along.

Aria returns home to Ezra yet again, who is still focused on the Nicole fiasco. Once he leaves, A.D. has perfect timing and decides to facetime/faceswap Aria. “Rule #1, never send me to voicemail” or else. A.D. does not play. They ask Aria for some intel on what happened in the scooby gang meeting earlier in the day and I’m honestly sitting here wondering why A.D. doesn’t already know. They seem to know everything else. When Aria reveals that Hanna and Spencer spoke with Charles’ father, A.D. is not happy.

Mary Drake leaves a note for Spencer in her loft. She wants to talk and Spencer is ever so willing to do so. She then leaves a note in a wine bottle for Mary Drake and honestly I’m sitting here wondering why Spencer would leave her door open just for anyone to come in.

Emily and Hanna search through Lucas’ loft for more info and secrets that could link him to Charles. During their search, Hanna begins the baby talk with Emily and I’m going to miss the Hanna/Emily friendship a lot. Anyways, they find an old comic book that was made by Lucas and Charles, “Arcturus”. The hero is a young boy, bullied by other kids and his family. He meets a shapeshifter woman in the woods who becomes his protector. It already sounds extremely familiar.

After hearing about “Arcturus”, Aria is very quick to tell A.D. about the new development so her next task is to steal the comic book. And she succeeds. A.D. can get anyone to be their minion, why pick on Aria and create more drama among the girls?! She drops off the comic book in a school locker, but then goes back to find a black hoodie in its place. Looks like Aria gained A.D.’s trust.

Detective Fury calls Alison in with more details about Archer Dunhill. He suspects more people are involved with the disappearance of Archer and obviously he’s trying to read Alison. At this point, he definitely has some info on Ali and the girls.

Emily wants Alison to have the baby.  But in a perfect world she also wants to be one big family with Paige. Yeah, sorry Emily, that’s not going to happen. This is the one time I’m okay with Paige, because she finally let Emily go.

Hanna introduces the game to Mona and the former “A’ admires the craftmanship a little too much. “Sometimes you have to stop and admire the craft behind the dirty tricks.” Mona is a freaking genius. She’s able to understand the work and the mechanics that went into the game.  “When the game ends, the game dies.” Mona is a little too excited, but once Hanna asks her to play the game along with them, she is NOT interested. It took her a while to get back into a good place. She was addicted to playing games before and she cannot go that route again. But let’s face it, the game wasn’t intended for her and it seems that the game maker doesn’t like new contestants – use Caleb as an example.

Meanwhile, Spencer is still on a search for her mother. In a little note to Spencer, Mary Drake leaves a key to the lost woods. I’m interested to see how this conversation will go. She waits an hour, but her mother is a no show and Detective Fury is. Turns out Rosewood’s newest detective followed Spencer and she’s now on his suspect list. He’s nice enough to warn her though. Spencer messed up when she used Archer Dunhill’s credit card during her and Detective Fury’s first meeting. Later on we see that Mary Drake is not happy that Detective Fury was around the set meeting place. She leaves a note: “You brought the police, I understand.”

Aria returns home to find Ezra is on his way out to see Nicole’s new doctor back in New York. She is not happy at all and tries to put Ezra in his place. “You don’t know what I have done for us, what I’ve done for you,” Aria yells and I’m sitting here like YES EZRA YOU BETTER LISTEN. She betrayed her friends to keep your relationship safe. Aria is trying to do her best to keep her relationship with Ezra together safe from A.D. , but here is Ezra pushing away Aria himself. Ezra still leaves.

As Alison is contemplating whether or not she should keep Emily’s baby, she gets an unexpected visitor – Paige. She creepily sneaks up on Alison sleeping. Alison was strangely calm during the whole thing, but Paige got the closure she needed. This is the first time we’ve seen Alison and Paige civil with each other. I applaud Paige for pushing Alison’s buttons and  getting her to open up about her feelings for Emily. This heart to heart helped Ali make a decision. She’s keeping the baby!

Ezra’s flight at the airport is conveniently delayed, but he sees a familiar face, Spencer. She’s in a heated conversation with Dr. Wren Kingston. Yes, Dr. Wren is back! Spencer introduces the two, but I’m sure both of them are somewhat familiar with each other. Ezra acted awkward and Spencer acted paranoid. She asks Ezra to keep her little meeting with Dr. Wren a secret and even throws out Detective Fury’s name as one of the people he shouldn’t tell.

Ezra ends up missing his flight and heads home to Aria. He finally seems to accept what Aria wants, however I think there’s more to it.  A part of me thought that he was going to tell Aria what he saw, or moreso who he saw. However, the Ezria make up seemed to piss off A.D. because Aria let the mysterious facetimer go to voicemail. The end of the episode leaves us with the creepy Aria snapchat filter warning Aria yet again. #CreepyAF.

We’re getting closer and closer to the June 27 series finale. I’m pretty sure I’m not ready, but I digress. Thoughts?

A.D. has the upperhand with today’s power play!

Hi all! Tonight’s episode was by far my favorite so far of Season 7B. A few questions were answered and we found out who among the 5 is the weakest link. Honestly, I’m shook right now. Yes, I used the term “shook”. Don’t mind me.

Because this episode was pretty intense and the fact that there were so many things to keep track of, I figured I’d change up the format of this post with the Top 5 moments of the episode.

5. WHOSE FINGER WAS DELIVERED TO THE ROSEWOOD POLICE?

It wasn’t hard to figure it out considering the girls just buried the body in 7A, but the digit belonged to Mr. Archer Dunhill’s decomposing body. Detective Furey decided to stop by the school to break this news to Alison and let’s just say, it’s not a missing person’s case any longer.  A.D. knows exactly what they are doing with this game. Play the game and get away with murder. Don’t play the game and the incriminating video comes out.

4. A FEW FAMILIAR FACES RETURNED.

Mr. Hastings is the first to return this episode. After claiming to be held up, Spencer finds out he’s been in Rosewood all along and has been on a search to find Mary Drake. He hired a private investigator to find the estranged mother and since Mr. Hastings hasn’t really been following the leads, Spencer and Hanna secretly go behind his back only to find another familiar face. Later on in the episode, he reveals who killed Jessica DiLaurentis.

Pastor Ted is the other familiar face that graced our screen tonight. One of the P.I.’s leads brings Spencer and Hanna to his home. He plays it cool as Hanna and Spencer think they wrote down the wrong address, but as they walk away Mary Drake enters the picture. He later confesses to Hanna that he’s been helping Mary Drake hide. Apparently, Mary Drake and Pastor Ted had a thing during their college days. And guess what? He’s Charles’/Charlotte’s father! But he didn’t know at the time he was a counselor for a boy’s camp where Charles AND Lucas were besties. Yup, mind is blown. Lucas is in on this game. Right?

3. WHO KILLED JESSICA DILAURENTIS?

I won’t beat around the bush. It was Mary Drake, at least according to Mr. Hastings. He recalls the last time he saw Mary. Spencer just got back from rehab and Mary Drake paid a little visit to her daughter. When Mr. Hastings caught her that night, Mary Drake was on a mission to make her twin sister pay for all the lies regarding Charles/Charlotte. When Peter refused to help, Mary decided to frame him utilizing his own pills.

At this point, I believe it, but at the same time Mr. Hastings could be lying just to paint Mary Drake in a bad light.

2. IT’S ALI’S TURN AND A.D. THINKS THEY CAN PLAY GOD.

Honestly, this ties with the top moment of the episode. A.D. decided to move the game board from Spencer’s to Alison’s. At this point, Alison has decided that she will not keep the baby. Emily supports the decision, but is later put into quite the predicament. For Alison’s turn, A.D. decides it’s time to get ready for the baby shower and leads Alison to a baby store to set up a baby registry. A clerk at the store then gives the gift Alison “reserved” for the egg donor…Emily. Yup, Alison is carrying Emily’s baby. And yup, the game just became a bit more complicated.  I’m left here thinking that A.D. is going way too far with this. As Alison tells Emily the new revelation, the scene breaks my heart.

This all comes out when Paige decides she wants to stay in Rosewood and try again with Emily. And I still think Paige is sketchy AF. I mean, she finds out that Alison is pregnant then all of a sudden turns down a big job to stay with Emily? Nah.

1. ARIA PROVES TO BE WEAK AF.

This isn’t really a moment per se. It’s more of an observation and it left me pretty angry. With all the Ezria drama, Aria hasn’t really been invested in the whole A.D. drama. As she sits on the sidelines during Ali’s turn, A.D. decides to video chat with her. Aria doesn’t want anything to do with it and ends up throwing her game piece away. A.D. takes this as a sign and plays on Aria’s vulnerability and curiousity. A.D. smells the desperation especially when it comes to Ezra possibly leaving Aria.

It is revealed that Sydney is A.D…just kidding! Syndey tried to fool Aria with a black hoodie, but the earpiece didn’t get past Aria. She is just another pawn to test Aria. A.D. wants to know if Aria wants to play for the winning team and she doesn’t straight up deny it. When she’s late to show up to the the girls’ meeting, she hides the fact that she met with Sydney as Hanna is chosen to take her turn again. And i’m pissed. Her best friends are getting tortured as she plays as a spy? How about no?

And there you have it. I tried my best to put all my thoughts together, but again, I’m still shook.

A.D. knows exactly what their doing putting the girls against each other. A moment of weakness could ruin it all for the girls. “We cannot let this game rip us apart, no matter what.” EVERYONE, listen to Spencer!

What are your thoughts on tonight’s episode?

It’s Playtime on Pretty Little Liars! (Spring premiere recap)

If you’re a PLL fan like me, you’ve been waiting for this premiere since August 30, 2016 where we were left with questions and accidents galore all around. But if you are also like me, you are dreading the fact that this is the first of the final ten episodes of Pretty Little Liars. How will we spend our Tuesday nights after June 20, 2017?

The episode starts off right where we left off. After being shot by Jenna, Spencer is rushed to the hospital. It was quite ironic when the paramedic asked Spencer what her mother’s name was. I mean, Mary Drake spilled a huge bombshell – with that and the overall shock of being shot, it was definitely not an easy question for Spencer to answer. As the girls watch on, they discover that Toby was in an accident too.

And then we fast forward one week later. Toby isn’t dead! Keegan Allen did a lot of trolling after that last episode making everyone think that Toby was gone. I even cried. What a jerk (lol jk). While both Toby and Spencer made it out alive, Yvonne is stuck in a coma and as a reminder Noel Kahn won’t be coming back at all.

We get little glimpses of each of the girls and their relationship woes. While i’m ready to see which pairs will be endgame, i’m more concerned about the game A.D. wants to play because the girls soon figure out that Noel and Jenna are not who they are looking for.

A.D. sent Spencer a little get well present and gave her the task of gathering the others to have a little game night. A.D. actully came up with quite the elaborate game board – a replica of the little town of Rosewood. I wouldn’t want to play, but I would want to own it. They seem to agree they don’t have time to play games and most of them attempt to go back to a normal life. Yeah, like that would ever happen.

Spencer, however gets a little push to keep finding out who A.D. is. Detective Furey shows her some evidence that pretty much reveals there were two shooters that awful night she was shot. In addition to that news, Mrs. Hastings comes home and doesn’t deny Mary Drake’s confession. The scene between Veronica and Spencer was a bit heartbreaking and everything Spencer thought she knew was shattered.

After a little text from A.D. and a little curiousity, Spencer is the first to start playing. It begins with a game of “Truth or Dare” and she’s a little daredevil. The game seems to start out easy because Spencer’s dared to visit a certain ex-boyfriend. Her prize? A puzzle piece and a letter written by Mary Drake when she was a baby.

The rest of the girls aren’t too happy with Spencer playing without them. Hanna even wants to destroy the game, but A.D. is watching and starts playing the video of them burying Elliot. And that’s enough for them to keep playing. Winner takes all..

The final scene leaves us with Jenna who was kidnapped by A.D. A.D. drops some papers on her lap and Jenna smiles as she reads about the endgame A.D. has for the pretty little liars.

Other noteworthy things :

  • Ezra’s home and hasn’t told Nicole about Aria, which causes Aria to worry about their pending wedding
  • Alison still holds a grudge against Paige. Is it jealousy involving Emily?
  • Paige is still shady AF.
  • Holden’s back and he’s involved in Ezria’s wedding planning. #awkward
  • Mona and Hanna are still #FriendshipGoals…sometimes.
  • I think it’s safe to say that Haleb is endgame ❤

My question is, who’s turn is it next? And what kind of truth (or dares) will we see? I’m waiting for someone to say “Do Not Pass Go…”

“The dArkest Knight” A PLL Summer Finale Recap.

Hi guys! It’s been a while and I apologize for that, but here I am. On tonight’s episode, our favorite little liars walk right into the #PLLDeathTrap! Honestly, I can’t even [function] right now. This was our last #PLLSummerFinale and it was epic to say the least, especially those last 5 minutes.

The episode started off with our favorite little liars looking for Hanna. They think that Hanna was abducted by Noel Kahn, but boy do they have it backwards. They are so desperate to find Hanna that they called the police. I can’t believe they actually called the police. I mean, after all these years and many events where they should’ve called the police, they call now?

While the girls stress about Hanna, Hanna’s in a stranded motel room being a badass and torturing Noel. When she doesn’t get the answer she wants, she takes a knife to Noel’s thigh. This is a side of Hanna I never thought I’d see. But she isn’t just torturing Noel for the hell of it. She wants proof and uses Noel’s blood sample to see if he’s the long lost child of Mary Drake.

The search for Hanna is on as Detective Marco takes on the case. Toby should be there, too. But NO, it’s his last day on the Rosewood Police Force and Detective Marco wants to make his move. Aria, Ali, Spencer and Emily are all at the Hastings’ residence getting questioned and Paige shows up to support them (Emily). I still do not trust Paige. And clearly Ali doesn’t either.

Caleb and Mona team up at the Radley hotel to watch Jenna’s every move. Jenna’s freaking out trying to get a hold of Noel, while Mona receives a call from Hanna to meet her. Of course, Hanna would request help from the first “A” for her interrogation skills. Too bad Mona wants Hanna to just go to the police. She eventually does, but she doesn’t reveal to anyone that she abducted Noel. In fact, she leaves Noel tied to the chair. I can hear Noel saying, “Wrong move, blondie, wrong move.”

We are then hit with some relationship feels – one ship after another. First we have Haleb. Caleb can see through all of Hanna’s lies. He knows Hanna and Hanna just doesn’t want to admit it. Caleb’s confession was the sweetest as he proclaims that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Hanna. #HalebIsForever. Meanwhile at the DiLaurentis house, Ali reveals to Emily that she’s pregnant. Despite everything, Emily will always be there for her first love and support her. Alison actually kisses Emily and it’s now the beginning of the #EmisonEndgame. Now Paige just needs to chill out.

Now while the two ships above give us hope, the next two aren’t looking too great. Aria awaits Ezra’s return after there is no news of Nicole’s return. However, she happens to catch the news and finds out that Nicole was rescued. I don’t doubt that Ezria will be endgame, but my heart still broke a little. Spencer decides to visit Toby before he leaves Rosewood. I always love scenes with Troian and Keegan because their chemistry is off the charts. When Spencer gave Toby a #SpobyKissGoodbye, I really felt like it was really their end and I hate this feeling.

Remember when Hanna took Noel blood sample to compare it to Mary Drake? Well it wasn’t a match – at least that’s what the doctor said. Noel as Mary Drake’s child would be the easy way out. Because of this new revelation, Hanna finally tells her friends the truth. They all return to find that Noel has escaped and I sat here scolding Hanna in my head for leaving that dude alone. Can’t you see he’s been working out?

Since Noel escaped, he and Jenna want to trade Hanna’s camcorder for the flashdrive with the doll house videos. A text leads the girls to an abandoned school for the blind. At Radley, Mona and Caleb think they have an eye on Jenna, but turns out it’s Sydney. This is all we see of her this episode, but I think we’ll see more of her. Clearly, the girls are walking into the #PLLDeathTrap and at this point I’m pretty nervous.

When the girls get to the school, Jenna instructs them to leave the flashdrive and Hanna’s torture video starts playing upstairs. They rush to get to the camera upstairs and head back down, but during all that haste Emily accidentally leaves her phone. Hanna ends up back upstairs with Emily, but Noel does not let them leave without a fight. It’s unfair considering he has an ax and the girls are unarmed. But the girls cause a distraction and Noel trips over his feet and falls on said ax. When someone from the PLL staff said that “heads will roll” I didn’t think they meant that literally.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Spencer, Aria, and Ali are running from Jenna who has a gun as her weapon of choice. They manage to sneak past Jenna and Noel’s head and run up the stairs to meet Hanna and Emily. When they get ready to sneak back down, Jenna hears them and shoots. The victim is Spencer and I’m like NOPE. You can’t do this to me. She’s the one we saw in the previews crawling for dear life.

Just when I thought Jenna was going to actually end Spencer’s life, Mary Drake hits her over the head. At this point, my mind is starting to work a little more and I realize who Mary Drake is to Spencer. It’s then confirmed when the girls find Mary Drake singing Spencer a lullaby and confesses “I would never hurt you. I’m your mother.” Then Spencer closes her eyes.

My heart breaks. And then the camera pans to a car crash where we find Toby and Yvonne. Keegan Allen doesn’t make it any better when he tweets “RIP TOBIAS”. Seriously Keegan?

RIPTOBIASWHY YOU GOTTA BE LIKE THAT?! I’m reminded of their goodbye kiss and how the two resemble Romeo and Juliet’s tragic love story.

I can’t focus on the last two scenes: Jenna wakes up in the back of A.D.’s car and a tiny figurine of Spencer is placed in a tiny coffin. This cannot be.

Now, I’m hit with the fact that we only have 10 more episodes left and that we have to wait 8 months. 8 long months.

Anyways, I’m excited to find out who A.D. is and why everyone seems to be coming back. Yeah, I’m looking at you Dr. Wren.

There’s a twin! (PLL Spring Finale Recap/top moments)

Hi little liars! I’ve been on a recap hiatus and I apologize. But I’m back because it’s the finale and I was left feeling very uneasy, as expected.

Tonight’s episode started off right where the last episode ended. The big plan to catch the new “A” was set in motion once Hanna sent her “confession” text. And I found it so interesting they could do all of it and attend to their personal lives especially the big Rosewood election. Honestly, it doesn’t make sense that they think they can be all sneaky, when obviously “A” is everywhere watching their every move.

Anyways, instead of me fully recapping the episode, I’m going to bring you my top 5 “OMG” moments. Just wait till you get to the number one moment for me!

My top 5 OMG moments:

5. The ships you thought were sunk have returned to shore. We can’t ignore the relationships we’ve come to love over these past 6 seasons. This fast forward jumbled everything up and while there were interesting pairings and characters you couldn’t hate, tonight’s episode brought us the main relationships many fans have been holding out for.

  • Spoby teamed up to find hidden clues in the former Radley basement in hopes of stopping Sara Harvey from finding something first. Toby even left his girlfriend’s side during the election to help Spencer! Oh and when they were speaking French with each other, I was a living :heart eyes: emoji.
  • Emison’s special relationship lives on and I found it very adorable that Emily was babysitting Alison and knew exactly where to find her when she went missing. No matter what, they’ll always be special to each other and support one another.
  • Ezria finished their book and Aria’s boss loved it. Of course out of excitement, Aria lunged forward and kissed her ex-boyfriend/teacher. But that turned into more,  once they both realized that the chemistry and feelings were still there.
  • The Haleb chemistry/feelings never left the building. It was so heartbreaking seeing those flashbacks of what led up to their break up and knowing that Hanna came back only to find that Caleb already left was the worst! Confessions were made and a kiss emerged, but I can’t help but feel bad for Spencer.

Basically, there was a lot of cheating going on (mainly with the last two), which I wasn’t really happy about, but it’s hard to forget about your first love right? But still there’s no excuse. I wonder how Spencer and Hanna’s dynamic will change (even more).

4. The discovery in the Radley basement. As explained above, Spoby teamed up to do some investigating in the former sanitarium turned hip hotel. While the Hastings election party was going on, Spoby made sure Sara couldn’t make it to the old record room, but that didn’t keep Mona out. We all know she probably knows more than she lets on. The only record they found was that belonging to a “Mary Drake”. If you recall that last name, there’s obviously some connection with Cece Drake aka Charlotte DiLaurentis. It’s odd how this was the only thing left in the basement. It’s almost as if someone wanted them to find this.

3. Alison’s admittance into a hospital. Alison just left the hospital, but now her mental state isn’t exactly the best. She had such a pleasant dream of her mother, who “visited” her, but all that changed when zombie mother made an appearance along with dead cop Wilden. Were they real or Ali’s mind playing tricks on her? Her current sweet hubby was out of town, so Emily was in charge and while she calmed her down, Emily wasn’t able to stop her from voluntarily admitting herself into a mental institution after seeing all these so-called hallucinations. I really wished the girls told her about the plan and what “A” was planning for them. Alichurch

2. The Twin Reveal! In the books, Ali had a twin, so a lot of us were waiting to see who would be the actual twin in the tv series. I don’t know about you, but I wanted a DiLaurentis to be a twin and we kind of got that. Basically, those so-called hallucinations/dreams of her mother were not hallucinations at all because Mrs. D is the one with a twin! In the file at Radley, Mary Drake was a patient who was pregnant and Mrs. D adopted that baby. Unfortunately, Charlotte’s life was cut short, and Mary Drake was NOT happy about this. Makes you wonder where she was all this time and how involved she was with previous murders. But what made me angry the most, was Dr. Rollins’ reveal. I know not to trust anyone, but I honestly didn’t think he’d be THIS involved. Turns out he was in love with CeCe and is playing Alison to help Mary exact her revenge on her daughter’s murderer(s).To make Ali think she was losing her mind, just to get her out of the way is just plain wrong! They’re taking back what’s theirs, but I definitely don’t think this is what Charlotte would have wanted.

1. My poor Hanna. She stepped up and initiated the plan to confess to Charlotte’s murder in order to catch the new “A” who absolutely loves emojis. And while everyone else was confident that they’d stop the new “A”, twin mom was still one step ahead. Hanna was nervous and you could tell from the look on her face and the confession of love to Caleb. When Caleb, Aria and Ezra knew that “A” escaped their trap, they rushed to Hanna’s room at the Lost Woods, and after breaking through the door, she was nowhere to be found. The indestructible door and windows were still in tip top shape, but they forgot to check the floorboards and a huge hole was found. The final scene of the episode shows an unconscious Hanna Marin being dragged across the bell tower floor of the church and I started to tear up at that point because Hanna will always be my favorite.

Because Hanna didn’t follow the rules and brought along the posse, it makes me nervous to think what Mary Drake is going to do to her.But I swear if they decide to off Hanna in this next season, I don’t know what I’ll do. She better be alive and the girls better find Mary Drake and traitorous Dr. Rollins. A part of me wants Mona to be the one to pull through for Hanna and start doing what she does best.

And there you have it, my top moments of last night’s Season 6 finale. It’s going to be a long few months, but you bet that I’ll be watching all the BTS stuff from filming. What were your fave moments from last night? Be sure to subscribe, leave a reply or reach out to me on twitter!
