The liars are home, tonight (A PLL Recap)

The last we saw our favorite liars, they found out who was behind “A”. Charles DiLaurentis became Cece Drake and Cece Drake became the mastermind behind the whole “A” game. But when she was caught red-handed, she declared the game over. But the game is never really over, is it?

Just when we thought everyone moved on, five years later, Alison decided to summon the girls and bring back some unwanted memories. But before I get into what happened in tonight’s episode, “Of Late I Think of Rosewood”, what exactly were the liars up to in those five years?

Alison ended up as an English teacher at Rosewood High. I’m so used to seeing Mr. Fitz at the front of the class so this was interesting especially considering how long Alison actually spent in a classroom.

Spencer ended up in D.C. I think we all knew that she’d end up in that field or she’d follow in the footsteps of her parents.

Hanna is a mom! Just kidding, they tricked us. Hanna’s engaged with someone that isn’t Caleb and working in fashion. Can you picture her in any other field? She’s come a long way from shoplifting with Mona!

Aria is working in publishing. While I wish she kept on with photography, this career suits her well also, considering her love for literature.

And Emily, well she’s in California. We see her bartending, but the other girls seem to think she’s still in school. I guess things didn’t work out at Pepperdine University.

The girls are finally leading normal lives, but Alison who stayed behind in Rosewood, seems to think that her friends can help her make her case for Cece’s release. She wants her family to be whole but that’s kind of hard when the other members of her family aren’t too keen on the idea.

So Alison asks her longtime friends for a favor. She wants them to lie again for old time’s sake. You’d think by now she’d learn that lying helps no one in Rosewood. No one at all. She wants them to tell the judges that they aren’t afraid of Cece, but Cece was “A”. Cece tortured them and now Alison is asking them to basically let her out? Come on Alison. You can still have your family with Cece while she’s in a safe environment!

In front of the judge, Spencer, Hanna and Emily make no confessions of their true feelings about Cece’s potential release. They put up a facade and act like they aren’t affected. In a turn of events, Aria changes her mind about lying as she remember the events that took place in the dollhouse. I applaud Aria for stepping up and not giving into Alison’s request. Mona, who is also there, seems to have a change of heart and instead of painting Cece negatively like she intended, she seems to empathize with the eldest DiLaurentis sibling.

Aria’s case doesn’t affect the decision and Cece is released. While Alison prepares for her sister’s homecoming, the rest of the girls get together and drink some cocktails in the Radley Sanitarium turned hotel. Drunk Spencer is my fave.

The morning after Cece’s release, she goes missing. Alison has the audacity to call Hanna to see if she visited them. First of all, the girls are hungover because of Cece. Would Cece really be sipping a margarita on her first night out? Second, why would you call Hanna first and not the police? I was quite frustrated with Alison this episode, but then the end was heartbreaking.

Cece was found dead outside the church of an apparent suicide. When we saw Cece in the hospital earlier in the episode, she seemed like she was happy and hopeful. So when we found out Cece was dead, I definitely thought there was more to it and someone else was actually involved. Like I said, my heart broke for Alison because she only had a few hours with the family she has been wanting her whole life. With Cece gone and her father and brother against her, she had no one else. Well, except for Emily and the new doctor.

The girls ended up staying for the funeral and it gave us all Pilot flashbacks of Ali’s funeral. Just like the pilot, an unexpected visitor showed up. And I wanted to throw something at the screen once I saw Sara Harvey walk through the doors. This girl was part of the game and now she’s back.

Now of course, the four main girls can’t go back to their normal lives considering my hunch came true. Cece was dead before she fell out the church window. And we were left wondering who did it.

And that’s what you missed on Pretty Little Liars! But wait! Can I talk relationships for a moment? The hashtag #StillFriends came on the screen as Haleb reunited and I couldn’t help but think of the whole Brotherhood of Ex-Boyfriends (by Toby Cavanaugh). What were they up to before they stared longingly at their ex-girlfriends?

Ezra is broken because of a tragic event happening in South America. He was not the usual Ezra we saw and it makes me wonder if Aria will be the one to bring his spirits up.

Toby, like Alison, stayed behind in Rosewood. He got his diploma but doesn’t seem to be happy where he’s at. The perceptive Spencer knows he’s building a house for someone, but the question is who. Spoby seemed to be the happiest to see each other.

Caleb finally showed up to make sure Hanna was okay, but only after Spencer called. It seems like he’s been hanging around Spencer a lot. Am I the only one that picked up on some sort of Spaleb connection going on?

I am definitely feeling the vibe of this fast forward. The girls are more mature, but are now finding themselves sort of in the same position they were when we first met them. And this time around, I’m confident they know what their doing — kind of.

Anyways, I loved the start of Season 6B! How did you all feel about the Winter premiere? What shocked you the most and what are you looking forward to see? Let me know!

Tonight, the GAME IS OVER.

Hey all! So tonight was the finale of the “Summer of Answers” and my goodness, we got a lot of answers! The episode was crazy and mind boggling, but the puzzle pieces were slowly coming together with “A”’s story and the flashbacks that accompanied it.

I was honestly shocked at how quickly we came #fAcetofAce with “A”! I mean, it happened in the first 10 minutes and then the story of how “A” stole the game, came.

As the girls attended the prom night from hell, Alison was whisked away and was the first to come face to face with her brother – but not before she saw her father and brother lying lifeless in front of her little cell. The others, along with Mona, watched it all unfold before their eyes and “A” aka Charles finally turned around revealing CeCe Drake. Yes, Charles DiLaurentis = CeCe Drake. I don’t know why I didn’t put two and two together. Hell, why didn’t Spencer put that together?

“You were like my very own living doll.” – All Charles wanted to do was play with dolls, but Mr. D wasn’t very accepting of that, so the moment Charles really messed up, i.e. placing baby Alison in a running bath, Mr. D took the opportunity to send Charles away.

But Mrs. D never stopped caring and protecting for her first born. And as he grew older, he met Bethany Young in Radley. While the pair seemed to be have a good relationship, all went to hell when Bethany pushed Mrs. Cavanaugh off the roof and blamed Charles. Clearly, Bethany didn’t know what Mrs. D was capable of, considering she covered the whole thing up and made it look like suicide. “Mr. D abandoned him, but Mrs. D taught Charles how to be ‘A’”.

Years later, Charles died and Charlotte was born. She even managed to get out of Radley for a little to take classes at U. Penn., but instead she took the opportunity to sneak off to Rosewood High to be Cece Drake and ended up being her brother’s girlfriend. That’s such a twisted way to be close to your family. “Why do you think he was so mad all the time? He was so frustrated.”

“That bitch Bethany ruined everything.” In case you forgot, Bethany practically hated Mrs. DiLaurentis especially after she found out about the affair she was having with Bethany’s father. So according to Cece, Bethany threw on Cece’s clothes and snuck out of Radley. Cece thought Bethany was going to go after her mom and hit the first girl she saw outside of the DiLaurentis house wearing a yellow top. Turns out that was Alison and Mrs. D saw the whole thing and covered it all up with Wilden. And oh yeah, Mona hit Bethany over the head with a shovel thinking it was Alison.

While Cece wasn’t part of the first round of “A” games, she weaseled her way in before taking it over completely. And that’s all thanks to Mona’s little stunt in Radley. Basically, Cece has some trust issues.

Then we flashback to the burning lake house where Alison and Shana came to the rescue. Cece had no idea Alison was really alive, but she knew this plan would lure her out to play if she really was alive. But Alison wasn’t the only one lurking around that night. Cece was there along with a little red coat decoy, someone we all know as Sara Harvey. That bitch. I knew I couldn’t trust her. UGH. But not only was she one of the red coats, Sara was the black widow that showed up at Wilden’s funeral. All this time she’s been a minion of “A” and I am angry.

“I know you won’t believe me, but I love all of my dolls. That’s why you’re still alive.” Vanessa Ray did a pretty amazing job this episode.

Anyways, while the girls escape to go save Alison, Mona’s stays behind to listen to the end of the story. But she doesn’t seem to finish because Sara is there ready to blow up the place for Cece. But I guess that’s the end of the story right? NOPE, it’s not. The girls get there in time disable the bomb and Emily punches Sara in the face. I’m going to say it again, I never trusted Sara. They all run after Cece on the roof and try to make amends. Instead of jumping off the roof, Cece gives up and proclaims that “the game is over”.

But is it really? We flash forward to labor day weekend to find that the girls have graduated and are off to college. Alison stays behind, which makes you wonder what exactly happened to Cece, Sara, Mona, and so on. Hopefully we get to see that this fall, when we flash forward 5 years.

Is it the fall yet? Who’s excited!?

The #SummerOfAnswers continues! A PLL Recap “Songs of Experience”

Hey Little Liars! We’re on week 3 of the #SummerOfAnswers and we got a few tonight! I’m going to go back to the format I did closer to the end of last season with my top 5 moments of the episode tonight, so please proceed if you’d like to know which moments had me freaking out and questioning everything I thought I knew.

1. Andrew is adopted. Let’s get right to it. Aria is getting really good at her detective work. Like us viewers, she is eager to find out who Andrew is and if Andrew is in fact, Charles DiLaurentis. In an attempt to avoid going to school, she stays at Ezra’s cafe and the two team up to find more information. Ezra pretends to be a detective over the phone, but doesn’t get too much medical information. Obviously. But he does find out that Andrew Campbell was in fact adopted. This supports the theory that Andrew may be Charles DiLaurentis which is exactly what I thought at the end of last season, but I kept second guessing it as I watched tonight. Honestly, wouldn’t that be too easy?

AndrewIsAdopted

2. Apparently, there is no Charles DiLaurentis, but…there is a Charlie from the DiLaurentis’ past. Last week, Mr. DiLaurentis completely shut down the idea of Charles. Spencer was quite persistent in trying to get Ali to keep questioning her father, but since that was going nowhere, she went straight to their shared brother. Jason shut the idea down as well, but digs deep and remembers his imaginary friend from his childhood, Charlie. And like all imaginary friends, he was forced to say goodbye and forget. You all know he was NOT imaginary.

charlieimaginary

3. Sara Harvey stays in Rosewood and “A” emerges from the shadows. Sara Harvey still hasn’t left Emily’s house. And I still don’t trust her. I think there’s more to it than her running away. But Emily seems to trust her, so let’s just give her the benefit now. Anyways, as the girls plan to have a session with Dr. Sullivan (She’s back!), Sara interrupts. But it isn’t Sara. It’s “A” with what appears to be Sara in a bed and a knife in their gloved hand. Of course, what good “A” if he does not continue threatening the girls. They ditch Dr. Sullivan and find Sara fresh out of the shower, safe and sound. Was the video real? Is Sara working with “A”?

sArA

4. Bitter Andrew is released. Andrew had an alibi for both Mona and Sara’s kidnapping, so there’s no case against him. This does not sit well with the girls, knowing that someone is still out there. Of course, Andrew is pissed off considering the hell he was put through. Apparently, he spent the 3 weeks trying to find the girls, not keeping them captive. Also, during the whole facechat incident with Sara, Andrew was still in jail. But, I still don’t trust him. He still gives off this creepy vibe and I definitely think he has something to do with “A”.

bitterandrew

5. A DiLaurentis photo emerges from the ashes…well from the button jar. After the girls, tell Alison about Jason’s revelation, they all search through the DiLaurentis for some kind of trace of Charles. Aria , who has become quite the detective, finds a photo in a button jar of Mrs. D, Jason and the other boy, as seen in the home movies. Alison is left to face her father, but Jason is also there for the support. Mr. D is not having any of it, but the kids caught him in a lie and he can’t go on avoiding this further, right? As the camera pans away, we don’t hear what Mr. D says, but it kind of looks like he says, “He’s your brother.” We finally got a little bit of the truth! But as this convo goes on, “A” watches through the window. I’m thinking “A” has the urge to be part of this family meeting.

How do all of you feel about Andrew? Let me know! Don’t be shy 🙂 Also, where the hell is Mona?! I need her snooping skills.

“Songs of Innocence” – A PLL Recap!

Previously on Pretty Little Liars, our girls escaped but it is not forgotten and “A” may still be lurking!

Tonight’s episode takes us deeper into what happened in that traumatizing dollhouse. We first see the girls together in the hospital discussing the possibility that Andrew Campbell and Charles DiLaurentis are one in the same. It’s easy to think that as a fact, but honestly it’s too easy, if you know what I mean.

But what we do know is that Officer Toby caught Andrew and almost slipped up when he wanted to beat Andrew instead of doing his job. Thanks to the new officer in town, Lorenzo, Toby did things the right way.alidad5Continuing on with Charles, Alison got around to asking her father the question on all our minds: Who is Charles DiLaurentis? He completely shot it down claiming there is no Charles in the family, but seeing his face, he’s definitely lying. Does anyone ever tell the truth?alidad8Emily finds herself visiting Sara Harvey in the hospital and honestly, she seems to be the only one curious about the girl. That being said, Emily is not afraid to get straight to the point. She asks Sara if she remembers how she got to the dollhouse, but all the questions seem to be too much. Understood.

When the girls are released from the hospital and sent home, we see the girls struggle with the homecoming. Things start to trigger their awful memories in the dollhouse and honestly my heart broke a little seeing how traumatized they were.

Hanna couldn’t look at her own room the same way and coped by getting rid of everything, stripping down the wall paper and getting rid of her own bed. Caleb and her mother are there as her support system, even if Hanna doesn’t want to talk about anything.

Aria coped by using all of her energy to make sure Andrew gets what he deserves. At this point we don’t know if Andrew and Charles are the same, but Andrew definitely did a number on Aria with how close he got to her. With all the evidence, it’s understandable how paranoid Aria is about Andrew. Aria evens tells a lie to the police so that there’s a testimony about Andrew, but she realizes that lies are going to get her nowhere.

Spencer’s homecoming isn’t that great when she finds out that her mother made sure she didn’t take the anxiety pills. And you know what? It’s with good reason! Her mother is looking out for her and knows that her former problem might come to the forefront with those pills. Spencer even steals a pill from Aria, and that’s how we know Mama Hastings was right in her decision.

Emily finds a little bit of comfort by going through her father’s things, more specifically his guns. She ends up at the shooting rage with one of her fathers’ guns and without a guardian, which of course worries her mother when she finds out. I know she wants to defend herself, her friends and her family, but Emily with a gun in her current state is not the answer.

During their moments to cope, we learn bits and pieces of what actually happened in the dollhouse. “A” made them choose between each other everyday – Choose one or make them ALL suffer. Clearly their relationship isn’t in such a good place right now and it’s heartbreaking. I know it was against their will, but how do you look your best friend in the eye after playing a part in their suffering?

In the final moments of the episode, Emily steps out of her house to find someone watching from afar. My first instinct is that it’s “A”, but Emily has the guts to run and see who it is. My nerves didn’t really calm down even at the sight of Sara Harvey. The reason she got into this whole mess was because she ran away, and now that she’s back out of that hell hole, she ran away again! And she found Emily’s address at the hospital? Stalker much.

Honestly, I’ve learned over the past 5 years to trust no one who conveniently ends up in Rosewood. But I guess it’s too early to tell if we can trust Sara or not.

So what do you think? Are Charles and Andrew one in the same or is Andrew a pawn in this game? Can we trust Sara? How is Mona coping?

Let me know!

GAME ON, CHARLES! The Pretty Little Liars Season 6 premiere is finally here!!!

The game is definitely on! The last we saw of our liars, they were captured by “A” with no way out and Alison went to jail for the murder of Mona Vanderwaal. Oh yeah, and we found out that Charles is “A”. So tonight marked the first night of the #SummerOfAnswers and we became one step closer to finding out who Charles is.

The first thing we saw tonight was the escape. It was practically a replay of the final minutes of the Season 5 finale except we saw another point of view from an unknown blonde girl who was also a prisoner. My guess it was Bethany Young or that girl who had gone missing from the other town. She didn’t follow but the others didn’t get too far anyways.

They were caged in and locked out of the dollhouse. It started to rain and let’s just say the whole place was charged. If my timing is correct, they spent about two or three days outside without any water or food. Also, let’s not forget about their prom dresses. I hated seeing the girls like this, but I loved that they still had some snarky remarks for “A”. My personal favorite was when Hanna said, “You may be a dude, but you’re still a bitch.”

stillabitch

After a few days, Charles finally opens the door back into the dollhouse. Per Mona’s advice/knowledge, they go back in to face the wrath. Mona mentions that Charles may not be mad at them anymore and their punishment is over. I think not. The girls vow to stick together as they walk in, but that is soon destroyed as Charles appears with a little gas bomb, grabbing Mona and putting that gas mask to use. The others are left to fend for themselves.

To continue the sick game, the girls wake up with white sheets covering their body in what looks a lot like a morgue. If this is a message “A” wants to send to the families, it’s frankly disgusting and I know their loved ones won’t give up. After Mona (as Alison) brings them some juice and aspirin, “A” summons them to their rooms to find their “surprises”. The screams did not put my soul at ease.

Fast forward to three weeks later and we find out that Alison was discharged from the murder conviction. She appeared in front of the press to give her statement about her friends kidnapping and the alleged suspect, Andrew Campbell. Yes, Andrew Campbell. I knew he was sketchy. Honestly, I’ve had my moments where I absolutely was disappointed in Alison. I couldn’t help but tear up after seeing her finally out and trying to rescue the others. It’s time for Ali’s redemption.

Ali working with the cops is one thing, but Alison working with the PLL boys is absolutely amusing. The whole thing with the mystery caller being in the house was epic. Everyone thinks Andrew or whoever is going to strike and kidnap Alison, but he’s always one step ahead and knows people are watching.

Back at the dollhouse, the girls are finally let out of their rooms to play, donning some old school outfits. I’m so curious about what happened in each room because all the girls look so traumatized. They head to Alison’s room to avoid further punishment and find that they are getting the room ready for their best friend’s arrival. They also find that Mona’s going to be replaced. Charles is pissed at Mona, but what did she do to deserve being sent to “the Hole”. Mona, you are so strong, you’ll get through this!

“A” leads Alison to where the girls are at and I’m very impressed. He freaking hijacked roadside assistance and then gave her a welcome card with a deadly message. Not cool. At least Ali was clever enough to leave some clues for Ezra and Caleb!

During the down time where the generator shut off, the girls make a plan to get Mona back and escape. This plan includes destroying Charles’ soul, every memory he had as a child. First on the list, that home video outside the Campbell farm. “Game on Charles,” Spencer says as she lights the film on fire. Charles is put in quite the predicament when he has to choose between the childhood memories or welcoming Alison.

gameon

And he chose his childhood. “A” has a soul. As he tries to put out the fire, Ezra and Caleb find Alison, but just before they leave they hear the fire alarms going off. The girls get to Mona who is extremely distraught. I applaud Janel Parrish, she is just so good. I’m honestly surprised that “A” didn’t catch any of them. As the girls run to escape, Ezra, Caleb and Alison are there busting the doors open and HOORAY, I was so excited, but also a bit hesitant. I didn’t think they’d get out in the first episode! But the game’s just beginning.

rock

As everyone reunites, Spencer tells Toby they finally have a name and Officer Toby tells her it’s Andrew. But that’s too easy, if it’s Andrew, isn’t it? After last season, my theory was that Andrew was in fact Charles, but hearing all this stuff in the first episode about him being the prime suspect is a bit unbelievable. Does that make sense?

At the end we also find out who the other blonde is, it’s Sara Harvey, the girl who went missing at the same time Ali did. And someone FINALLY asked the big question that everyone has, “Who is Charles DiLaurentis?”

I’m excited for this summer of answers! What are your theories so far?

XOXO,
Adele

P.S. I totally forgot about doing a Top 5 format. I was just really excited about talking about the premiere! 😉

“Welcome to the Dollhouse” – A PLL Recap

Welcome to the Dollhouse, liars!

Tonight was the night the #BigAReveal took place and it was an emotional roller coaster ride. The whole episode was crazy, creepy and insane. This episode had 2 big reveals: one of them made me happy but the other reveal left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. “A” has some deep problems, but apparently they have a soul according to one of the girls. Yeah, right.

So let’s get on with it! Here are my top moments (in order of appearance) of tonight’s episode and a little theory at the end, in case you’re interested.

The girls’ van is hijacked and they are taken to “A” dollhouse. After last week’s episode, Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Aria are taken away in their orange jumpsuits away from Alison. According to Hanna’s contact the police think the five girls are planning something big, but we all know this is “A”s handy work. In the transport van, the Hanna reveals how jail is which doesn’t ease the others’ fears, but they all share a cute friendship moment together and I hate having to see my girls getting arrested for something they didn’t do.

But anyways, that moment is interrupted when “A” hijacks the van, taking out the officers and busting through the back door of the van. Understandably, the girls are scared for their life considering “A” is pointing some big gun at them.

“A” knocks them out with some type of gas and they all wake up in what appears to be exact replicas of their bedrooms. Did they just all wake up from a big nightmare? Nope, considering they were still wearing orange jumpsuits and behind every window/door is a solid wall. The doors open and a mysterious overhead voice advises the girls to follow the lighted path which happens to lead to a replica of Alison’s room. Once they reach the room, a blond girl is playing the piano with the Ali mask on. Once that mask is taken off, we find out that…

Mona is alive! I think a majority of fans were really rooting for Mona to be alive and I screamed once that mask came off. Even though she was wearing the Ali mask for a few minutes, the piano playing was definitely an indication that it was Mona.

Honestly, at first I thought this was Mona’s twin or something and she’s playing this stupid game with the girls, but then she started acting like she was Alison and I was thoroughly confused. I thought long and hard about it and was convinced that Mona was under “A”s spell or she completely lost it. I’m glad she was just acting to appease “A”. She knows “A” is not playing games when it comes to someone disobeying them.

Mona went on with her Alison act and kind of became the leader of the group, naturally. Since Mona had been there for so long, she knew he ins and outs of the dollhouse. From experience and the torture “A” put her through, she was able to share that information with the girls. Honestly, this was the biggest OMG moment of the night!

The Hastings pay a visit to Alison. Officer Toby goes to Mr. and Mrs. Hastings to inform them of what happened to their daughter and the other girls. Apparently, the cops know, but they want to keep it a secret and out of the press. I would’ve loved to see all the parents be informed, but oh well.

Mr. and Mrs. Hastings were hell bent on thinking it’s all Alison’s doing, which frustrated me. Like, how does an 18 year old girl who is distraught and sentenced to life in prison, have ANYTHING to do with 4 other teenage girls disappearing. Sure, Ali was a great manipulator, but really? Their theory leads them to Alison to ask her questions and Ali finally tells the truth about the return of “A”. I’m so happy because they actually believe her later on. They become part of the “A” search party along with Ezra, Caleb and Toby.

Detective Tanner teams up with Caleb and “A”s lair is found. Earlier in the episode, Toby tries hacking the police radar for the van, but doesn’t get very far. Detective Tanner also gets some research done, which leads her to Caleb and issuing a warrant of arrest. This angered me as well. Tanner was so focused on finding evidence against the girls and their boyfriends. I was so happy that the Hastings were representing Caleb and pretty much manipulated Tanner into allowing Caleb to use their system to do some more hacking/research.

Caleb uses the police system and is able to find the van. I found it so hilarious when Tanner put her hand on his shoulder, and he brushed it off like “Bitch, don’t touch me.” It looks like Caleb might be the next person joining the Rosewood police force!

His research leads them to the Campbell apple farm, a place where the Hastings used to take the girls when they were younger. I didn’t really find that piece of information with the girls useful, but the Campbell apple farm was a trigger. In case you forgot, Campbell is Andrew’s last name. Oh and the Campbell farm is where “A”s lair is. Finally, Tanner sees that the girls have been kidnapped.

A twisted Senior Prom takes place and “A” is revealed. In the dollhouse, “A” wants to relive a prom that’s happened in the past, meaning it’s either a current or past student of Rosewood High School. Of course, “A” puts the girls to work. Aria in charge of the music, Emily and Spencer in charge of decorating, Hanna taking care of the food, and Mona (as Alison) overseeing the prom queen committee.

Spencer uses this decorating committee as a way to enact an escape plan and boy, do I love the way Spencer thinks. Spencer goes along with “A”s game wanting to plan a beautiful prom with an elaborate entrance for Alison, considering Alison is their favorite. She mentions some things needed to decorate and the next day “A” delivers, not expecting that they are about to get played by these girls. But one thing we need to remember is that “A” is always ahead in the game.

In between all the set up, Spencer puts some pieces of the puzzle together. When she was in “A”s play room she saw the letter blocks and her mind put together a name: Charles. And if you remember the note in Mona’s mirror, Charles DiLaurentis. #CHARLESISA

Once everything is set up and ready, “A” provides the girls with some beautiful prom dresses and although this isn’t the prom they dreamed of, at least they looked good right? As they wait for Alison aka Mona to come down the stairs and crown her Prom Queen, they ask Charles to come out amongst the mannequin prom guests. He does and once they get closer, the use their little camera contraption to bust out the circuits, giving them enough time to try and escape. I thought that the girls could’ve at least beat “A” a little bit and even unmask them. I mean, the five ladies are so badass, I think they could’ve taken him.

Spencer finds a room with “A”s belongings, including some home videos and pictures. Spencer plays the video and we see a younger Mrs. DiLaurentis with baby Alison and two young boys outside the Campbell farm, one we can assume is Jason and another who may possible another DiLaurentis son. Spencer finally stands face to face with the masked “A” and it’s a tense moment, but he manages to disappear right as Mona appears to interrupt the moment.

The final scene brings us to the girls escaping, but they’re fenced in. You know why? Because “A” is always one step ahead.

Honestly, this season 5 finale had so many intense moments, but the “Big A Reveal” was not what I expected. I was hoping we’d actually see a face. No more masks, distractions or diversions. But all we got was a name. Sure, we got the answer to who “A” was, #CharlesIsA, but we were all left with one big question: WHO THE HELL IS CHARLES?  It was such a huge tease. -_-

With that being said, here is my #PLLTheory of the week: Obviously, the Campbell farm with “A”s lair is very important. Andrew Campbell seems to be involved with this. After all, he was listening in on Mrs. Hastings’ phone conversation with Melissa and he’s been very creepy as of lately watching the girls closely and worming his way into one of their lives. It could be very possible that he was the other boy in that DiLaurentis home video. He could very much be Jason’s twin and Alison’s other older brother (if that other boy was a DiLaurentis son). Charles may be “A”, but you can’t spell Andrew without “A” either, right?

What do you think was the biggest reveal of the night?MONAALIVEcharlesisa

You know what to do. Leave me your thoughts, comments and theories!

A PLL Recap: The verdict is in!!!

Hey little liars! To be honest, I’m pretty emotional right now. I’m angry, I’m sad and I’m just in plain disbelief. I mean, sure, we all knew this was coming, but to hear it and see what happened in the last 2 minutes of the episode was just overwhelming. If this is how I’m feeling now, I can imagine how I will be next week when the “big reveAl” happens.

Anyways, enough of me ranting…here are my top 5 moments of tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, “I’m a Good Girl, I am.”

Capture5. Lesli Stone returns to Rosewood as a surprise witness. In case you need a refresher, Lesli made her first appearance in 5×18, claiming to be Mona’s friend from out of town. She reveals to the girls that she talked to Mona the night before she died and heard a male voice yelling at Mona, which we found out later was Mike. Let’s just say, Mike and Lesli didn’t have a good impression on each other. During, the trial Lesli brings a piece of evidence, a little card mentioning Alison’s threats. It doesn’t make anything better for Alison. Lesli then proceeds to throw Hanna, Mike and the girls under the bus, stating that they were all hiding something. She claims that Hanna was stalking her and Mike “practically attacked” her, which is sort of true, but still, this girl came out of nowhere. Either this was all part of Mona’s grand scheme or Lesli is working for “A”.

4. Alison takes the stand. The whole episode, Spencer, Emily and Aria are working to find someone that can be Ali’s alibi. We flashback to Thanksgiving where Ali is at the park waiting for Cyrus. She doesn’t see anyone, but she does hear someone. Due to some amazing detective skills, Emily and Spencer find this person by seeing a certain scarf/patch. However, the girl who was at the park doesn’t get them anywhere as she was recovering from partying too hard the night before. This dead end causes Alison’s lawyer to use their own surprise witness…Alison. Capture

Ali’s lawyer brings up the point that Alison fractured her elbow when she was little and it never healed. What does that have to do with Mona’s death? The force used to push her around. I thought this was making a good case until the prosecution dug up some old archery award. Alison says nothing about it. After the jury goes into deliberation, Alison reveals that she convinced her bunkmate to help her rig that archery competition. It looks like she didn’t want to open up a can of worms mentioning her old bunkmate, whoever it was.

3. Ezra vs. Caleb over Mike. Honestly, I was getting pretty frustrated with Aria. I understand she wants to protect her brother in all of this, but I think Mike was looking at the bigger picture when he wanted to confess everything he knew if he was called to the stand. As Aria enlisted Ezra’s help to take Mike away from all the madness, Caleb wanted Mike to tell his side of the story. Ezra and Caleb got in a pretty heated argument about what Mike should do, but during all their bickering, Mike drove off. He didn’t get too far as he was attacked by a pretty skilled archer, knocked unconscious and tied around a tetherball pole.Capture

Ezra and Caleb were successful in getting past the mysterious archer(s), and rushed Mike over to the Rosewood police, but not before taking a photo of his binding situation. And while I thought that this proof and Mike’s state would be some good evidence, apparently it wasn’t, according to Detective Tanner. To me, she basically implied that the whole attack on Mike was staged to try to get the girls off the hook. Detective Tanner is either working for “A” or the whole Rosewood Police Department is in denial. If Aria allowed Mike to tell the truth, I think the whole thing could have been avoided or at least put off for a little longer.Capture

2. Andrew reaches another level of creepiness. Andrew gets very defensive when he hears that Aria recruited Ezra for help regarding Mike. He’s gotten to be a stage 5 clinger and obviously he’s jealous of Ezria’s relationship. He keeps repeating his “I’m here for you 24/7” spiel to Aria, but the one time she calls him for help in looking after Mike, he’s not available. And it happens to be when Mike goes missing. Later on during the trial, he meets Aria to apologize. Somehow a yearbook quote is worked in the mix and Aria finds out that Andrew was a Pathfinder Scout for 12 years. Um…Ezra, Caleb and Mike were attacked at the Pathfinder Scout camp the night before. “A” is for Archer Andrew.

alisverdict51. #AlisVerdict & the arrest. Remember when I was ranting earlier? Well, this is why. Again, I think the majority of us knew the jury would find Alison guilty, but to hear it and to see it was heartbreaking. Sure, Ali’s done some unforgivable things to a number of people, but for her to go to jail for a murder she didn’t commit had me feeling all kinds of emotions. The evidence and testimonies didn’t help Alison at allOne thing that made me angry was the reactions from people behind the girls who were in distraught seeing their innocent friend get a verdict, landing her life in prison. Everyone behind Emily, Spencer and Aria were all smiling. I was sitting here playing the scene back, thinking, “YOU ALL DON’T KNOW WHAT’S REALLY HAPPENING HERE, SO STOP SMILING.” Maybe if Mike actually testified, it would’ve changed something. But “A” is always one step ahead.alisverdict6

Anyways, after Alison’s heartbreaking verdict, Tanner finally made an appearance at the trial to gloat and to arrest the remaining “liars”. Officer Toby was too late to save them and Tanner had all the evidence she needed to land them in jail with Alison and Hanna. I also dislike the fact that she was conveniently there to arrest them right after Alison’s verdict.

Since all of them are in jail now, I wonder how their dynamic will change and what games “A” has up their sleeve. I guess we’ll find out next week along with who “A” is.

Theory of the week: As I was writing the bit about Andrew earlier, I came up with a theory. Apparently, there have been talks about there being a twin in the mix, that’s not Alison’s. In case you missed it earlier, Alison’s past came up about camp when she was 11 and her convincing a bunkmate to rig the game of archery for her. Maybe that’s where it all started? We all know Andrew gets pretty competitive and may have some great archery skills, so maybe Andrew has a twin sister who is very similar! Who knows!?

That’s it for this week, liars. You know what to do! Like, share, & comment. Let me know what you thought of tonight’s episode and share some of your theories!

My Top 5 moments of “The Melody Lingers On”, A PLL Recap!

It’s that time of the week again and we finally get into Alison’s trial! Check out what happened last week here.

Anyways you know the drill…here are my top 5 moments of tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, “The Melody Lingers On.”

creepyandrew5. Andrew is creepy. Don’t trust Andrew and his dimples. In the past, we saw him get close to Spencer and it all seemed harmless, but now he’s been trying to woo Aria. He’s helped Aria look after Mike and managed to get on Ezra’s radar as well. But don’t let those dimples fool you. If we’ve learned one thing on Pretty Little Liars, it’s to trust no one. Basically tonight Andrew reached a whole new level. Amongst talk of the Alison DiLaurentis trial, he brings up being tired of everyone memorializing Mona, implying that they’re all better off without the intelligent girl who’s always one step ahead. Everyone was jealous of Alison, but it looks like Andrew was jealous of Mona. Later in the episode, we see Andrew creeping around Mona’s house.

4. Mona’s house is broken into! During Alison’s trial, Mrs. Vanderwaal is nowhere to be found and the girls are determined to find any more clue Mona left behind. After it appears no one is home, they walk away defeated, but then hear some interesting french music coming from Mona’s room indicating that someone is actually present. They rush to the door which happens to be conveniently unlocked. Mona’s room is in shambles and “A” left a note. But the girls think like Mona and find that “A” didn’t actually find a thing. Thinking like Mona leads them to the following clue: “Chandelier’s rituals. Sister launched lair. A ruler’s list chained.” What does that mean? I have no idea.noteAs the girls leave, we see what I mentioned earlier, Andrew watching them from afar. The camera then takes us to a broken window and an ice pick stabbing the floor. We see the ice pick at the end of the episode being examined and it happens to be from the ice cream factory Aria, Spencer and Emily previously visited.acalls3. “A” calls back. Caleb and the girls spent a lot of time constantly calling the number Emily found, but no one was successful in ever reaching anyone on the other line. Spencer, being the awesome person she is, remembered the number in the personal ads and found that it was the same number! After pestering the number some more, out of the blue, Varjak/A calls Aria’s phone and all they can hear is some french record playing in the background. This isn’t familiar to any of the girls, but it’s familiar to the viewers and Hanna. This is what actually prompts the girls to search Mona’s house for some evidence to get Hanna out. Hanna mentions that Mona used to play a lot of French music in her room. Later in the episode, we see Emily listening in on some secrets on that contraption that Johnny made and she actually hears the french music! How creepy is that?!

2. Jason changes his story. Spencer spends half the episode trying to speak to Jason about the trial and Ali’s innocence. She constantly tries to apologize and seems to be one of the factors in Jason changing his story. If you don’t remember what Jason said, here’s a little refresher: Mr. D and Jason backed up Ali’s alibi that she was home and then Jason ended up taking that back saying she was actually away. When he was shown the video of Mona getting attacked he even said that the blonde girl may be Alison, but during his testimony he basically says he doesn’t believe that Alison did it.JASON

With Jason’s change in heart, the prosecution brought up his “intimate” affair with Ashley Marin, implying that Ashley convinced him to change his mind due to Hanna’s alleged involvement in the whole thing. Who knew #JasonAndAshley would have any affect on the trial!? Spencer said it best, “The truth will set you free, but first it turns you inside out.”

1. Ali’s trial begins. So this isn’t really one specific moment considering the whole episode revolved around Alison’s trial, but the whole thing made me so nervous. Alison had her doubts and she remained very adamant about telling her truth. Let me point out some moments that are not mentioned above:alison

  • Mrs. Hastings suggests that the girls don’t go, mainly Spencer. She’s so worried about what everyone will think of her daughter. Emily and Aria end up going the first day, but Spencer actually listens to her mom. But we all knew Spencer couldn’t stay away. And let’s just say that Mrs. Hastings was not a happy camper.
  • Alison calls Emily and all the Emison shippers had a glint of hope. Honestly, I never really liked Emily with anyone else but Alison. I know, I know..they had a toxic relationship, but a part of me is still rooting for them.
  • The prosecution knew that Alison lied about her supposed kidnapping, making the other girls targets as well. After Mr. DiLaurentis found out they knew about Alison’s lies, he accused them of convincing her to do so. I get that Mr. D is defending his daughter, but for some reason I was very annoyed with his behavior.

Alison’s trial continues next week and from the looks of it we’ll learn the jury’s verdict (unless they leave us with a cliffhanger). I’m hoping the girls decipher Mona’s note, because I’m still stuck on what it is. I just want to see both Hanna and Alison out of the orange jumpsuits and back with the others to take down the real “A”.

With that being said, we’re one episode away from “the big reveAl” and I’d love to hear your thoughts and theories so far!

Pretty Little Liars Recap: My top 5 OMG moments of “Bloody Hell”

Hey little liars! I’m going to take a different approach recapping tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars and instead of a play by play of what’s going on, I’m going to give you my top ‘OMG’ moments

coach#5. Mrs. Hastings visited Ali. So the episode started off with Aria, Emily and Spencer visiting Alison in jail after last week’s Mona revelation. The girls tell Ali about Mike’s involvement and things get complicated. Later on in the episode, Mrs. Hastings finds out about Spencer’s visit and she is not happy! She ends up visiting Alison, and gives her a piece of her mind, questioning her about why the girls visited. Alison simply states that they know she’s innocent. Mrs. Hastings finds it hard to believe because of all the lies Ali has told. And while Ali wants to tell her side of the story because this time it’s true, her lawyers don’t think it’s a good idea. Mrs. Hastings agrees, but mentions if she does she would need a coach. Alison boldly asked Mrs. Hastings to take on that role and I’m curious if she’ll actually do it!

ariadrew#4. Aria and Andrew share a moment in Mike’s room. Aria is looking for some sort of schedule in Mike’s room to see where he’s at to question him about “A”. For some reason, this schedule is located on a dart board above his bench press. Obviously Aria is a tiny girl, so in order to reach for the schedule she jumps on top of the bench press. After a few seconds, Aria is on the ground as the bench press collapses. Andrew happens to enter the house and sees that the bolt and washers didn’t match, which caused the bench to collapse. Aria immediately knows who this handy work belonged to, “A”. As Andrew tends to her swollen foot, Aria starts getting emotional because she knows Mike is now a target. Andrew notices Aria’s emotional state, comforts her and ends up leaning in and kissing Aria. And while we saw this coming, it hurts to actually see it happen because of our dear Ezra.

spencerblood#3. Spencer freaks out in the UK. Mrs. Hastings shipped Spencer off to Oxford because Wren was able to get the younger Hastings an interview with someone in admissions at Oxford University. Mrs. Hastings knows what’s up: Spencer’s going to college and it’s going to be far far away from Rosewood. Spencer’s interview was going so well, until the interviewer noticed some red liquid all over Spencer’s bag and the chair in his office. Spencer rumages through her purse and sees a broken tube of blood. Who’s blood? It could be anyone’s! And Spencer freaks out which is understandable. “A” managed to slip something in her purse without her knowing and if TSA were to find that, Spencer would’ve been in huge trouble. After Spencer freaks on the phone with Aria, she heads back to her sister’s flat, and freaks out with her carry on luggage, knowing “A” has something planned. Later on, Mrs. Hastings calls Spencer and tells her to cancel her flight home. Something big is about to happen very soon.

varjak#2. Cyrus/Hank ends up in the hospital in the burn unit. After Aria learns about Mike’s revelation, she goes into investigative mode and searches for Cyrus and finds out he’s at the hospital. They said it was an accident, but we all know it’s probably the work of “A”. Aria recruits Hanna to accompany her to hospital and they convince the nurse that Cyrus is their cousin. As they visit, Cyrus reveals it wasn’t an accident and they question who did it. Cyrus struggles but ends up writing the name “Varjack” on some paper. Hanna figures out that Cyrus has actually met with this person by the way he spells “Varjack” incorrectly. After Hanna and Aria leave, one of the other “patients” in the burn unit is seen getting up and walking over to Cyrus. “A” is not happy. Or is “A” sending the girls on a wild goose chase?

AND MY TOP “OMG” Moment of the night…

imsorry#1. Ali apologizes and I got very emotional. At the beginning of the episode, Hanna was missing from the reunion. She felt bad for her previous visit where she accused Alison, and finally decided to face her again on her own to apologize. But Alison beats her to the punch.

“When I first got here I kept thinking how did this happen? What did I do to deserve this? You know I honestly thought that I was helping you guys. Telling you what to wear, how to act, who to like. Then when you stopped listening, I found new people who would. Being here, no one listens to me. I can’t even decide what to wear or what to eat or when to shower. I’m told everything. Everything’s in order. And I never realized how bad that felt to be on the other side of that, so I’m sorry.”

This time I felt like Alison was being sincere and telling the truth. She finally realized what she did wrong. It took her a while and some extreme circumstances for her to do so, but she finally did it. So many times, we’ve trusted Alison, like the girls did, and then so many times we were let down. But after this I don’t think I can hate Alison and I’m hoping for a happy ending. Alison asks Hanna if they could start over. It’s possible but from now on they all have to truthful to each other. Hanna’s first question: “Who is Varjak?”

So those were my top moments of tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars. What were your favorite moments? LET ME KNOW BELOW.

“Pretty Isn’t the Point” A PLL Recap

Hi friends! Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past few weeks, but I’m here now in case you missed me!

So over the last few weeks, Mike Montgomery has been a huge creep. He’s been visiting Ali and hiding some secrets and blood, which lead the girls to believe he’s working for “A”. And that is where tonight’s episode kicks off.

Aria and the others are going through Mike’s room and I know when he finds out, he is going to have a huge fit. In Mike’s room they discover a few things: He has jock itch, he likes to workout and he’s bought a little cute necklace for someone with the message “I’m with you”. Who is he with? Mona or Alison?

Hanna is still determined to be part of the Miss Teen beauty pageant to win the prize money. In case you missed it, Hanna’s dad isn’t able to help her financially when it comes to going to college. But he’s apparently there for his step daughter, Kate. Hanna isn’t really happy about that. Later we see she hires a pageant coach, and let’s just say things don’t go right.

Andrew, the same Andrew that tutored and flirted with Spencer, is now tutoring Aria. During the tutoring session, Mike confronts Aria and last week’s Magic Mike turns into Mad Mike and threatens his own sister. Little Mike Montgomery has a temper on him and it’s quite scary.

Aria gets Andrew to follow Mike around. He finds Mike putting something inside a tree outside of Mona’s house. Andrew offers to help Aria snoop around some more to see what’s in the tree, but she insists that she’s fine. Honestly, Andrew is getting too close for comfort at this time.

Johnny, the new guy that lives in Spencer’s backyard, is also getting too close for comfort. Last week he managed to get Spencer to unknowingly vandalize Hollis! That piece of vandalism happened to make it into an art gallery and Johnny isn’t too happy. He is hell bent on stealing his art back and somehow Spencer is convinced to do so too. You know this is the work of “A”.

Back on the “Hanna for Ms. Teen” front, Emily is recruited to help with the talent portion and help Hanna come up with some bangin’ moves (they dance to “Bang Bang”). During the practice, Caleb breaks the news that stepsister Kate has signed up. Again, Hanna is not happy and she will not let Kate take this away from her. YOU GO GIRL!

Spencer and Johnny begin their mission of stealing back their artwork. Johnny looks to have some trouble with unlocking the door, but Spencer’s done it so many times, she’s a pro. Basically, Johnny’s unprepared. Thank goodness for Spencer right? But Johnny messes up the whole thing by tripping up an alarm. Later at a gas station, Officer Toby pulls up and questions Johnny, arresting him. Spencer tries to defend Johnny, but yells at Toby because she thinks he’s doing this because he’s mad at her. He tells Spencer to leave and that Detective Tanner is going to use their relationship against him. I think Spencer doesn’t seem to understand that he’s doing his job. Everyone seems to be mad at Toby, but really, what is he supposed to do in this situation?

Hanna’s going hard during her dance routine in front of her coach, but goes a little overboard. Emily ends up letting Hanna do a solo, but she’s as confused as ever. Let’s just say her coach wasn’t too thrilled either. The pageant coach tells Hanna off and simply put, she thinks Hanna is not pageant material. Hanna leaves an emotional wreck and hears the coach tell Emily that she is pageant material. Hanna doesn’t stay long enough to hear Emily defending Hanna and that’s why I love Emily.

Aria goes on her own adventure to find what Mike put in the tree. She finds a little pint of blood, but her adventure is cut short when Mike finds her. Aria confronts Mike and he reveals that it’s Mona’s blood. Aria freaks out, which is understandable and the pint of blood drops before Aria rushes to her car.

Back to Hanna and Emily, Ashley comes in to reveal that Hanna’s father knows nothing about the pageant and that Kate’s not even in town, meaning this disaster was set in motion by “A”. Hanna is discouraged and she refuses to do the pageant. But you know what?! Emily is going to do it for Hanna. She doesn’t care if “A” comes after her, she will always have her girls’ backs!

Johnny is back from jail because Mrs. Hastings posted his bail and also happened to kick him out of her backyard. Spencer still happens to blame Toby for most of it. Before Johnny leaves, he kisses Spencer and boy am I not happy. Ugh.

Aria comes home looking for her dad and when Mike comes in right after she threatens to call the police! OMG. But Mike finally tells her the truth and boy, is this a big revelation. The night before Mona died, Mike made a surprise visit to Mona and found her stash of blood. Turns out Mona is working for “A” again. She was trying to gain their trust. They wanted Alison in jail and Mona was there to help – stage her own death and frame Alison for it. Once she gains their trust and finds out who “A” is, she can come back and save the other girls, including Alison.

Mike was supposed to meet Mona several times after the staged death, but he still hasn’t seen her. It appears “A” killed Mona after all. “A” is always one step ahead right? So “A” must’ve known that Mona was going to stab them in the back eventually.

So basically the girls accused Alison of being “A” and are now faced with the task of apologizing and helping Alison get out of jail.

The final scene has “A” sneaking into Mike’s bedroom, working out a little and busting out a wrench. And here comes an “A” prediction. Andrew is “A”. He’s been getting too close for comfort. Maybe he’s so pissed off that none of the girls reciprocated his flirty feelings. He’s oddly around during this Mike situation and I don’t know who else to accuse at this point.

But at least it’s only FOUR more episodes until the big “A” reveal! This is not a drill. It’s actually happening this time and I cannot wait. I just want to find out who “A” is and bring them down so our girls can go off to college and be happy.

What are your thoughts and theories after tonight’s episode? Hit me up below 🙂
