“Welcome to the Dollhouse” – A PLL Recap

Welcome to the Dollhouse, liars!

Tonight was the night the #BigAReveal took place and it was an emotional roller coaster ride. The whole episode was crazy, creepy and insane. This episode had 2 big reveals: one of them made me happy but the other reveal left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. “A” has some deep problems, but apparently they have a soul according to one of the girls. Yeah, right.

So let’s get on with it! Here are my top moments (in order of appearance) of tonight’s episode and a little theory at the end, in case you’re interested.

The girls’ van is hijacked and they are taken to “A” dollhouse. After last week’s episode, Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Aria are taken away in their orange jumpsuits away from Alison. According to Hanna’s contact the police think the five girls are planning something big, but we all know this is “A”s handy work. In the transport van, the Hanna reveals how jail is which doesn’t ease the others’ fears, but they all share a cute friendship moment together and I hate having to see my girls getting arrested for something they didn’t do.

But anyways, that moment is interrupted when “A” hijacks the van, taking out the officers and busting through the back door of the van. Understandably, the girls are scared for their life considering “A” is pointing some big gun at them.

“A” knocks them out with some type of gas and they all wake up in what appears to be exact replicas of their bedrooms. Did they just all wake up from a big nightmare? Nope, considering they were still wearing orange jumpsuits and behind every window/door is a solid wall. The doors open and a mysterious overhead voice advises the girls to follow the lighted path which happens to lead to a replica of Alison’s room. Once they reach the room, a blond girl is playing the piano with the Ali mask on. Once that mask is taken off, we find out that…

Mona is alive! I think a majority of fans were really rooting for Mona to be alive and I screamed once that mask came off. Even though she was wearing the Ali mask for a few minutes, the piano playing was definitely an indication that it was Mona.

Honestly, at first I thought this was Mona’s twin or something and she’s playing this stupid game with the girls, but then she started acting like she was Alison and I was thoroughly confused. I thought long and hard about it and was convinced that Mona was under “A”s spell or she completely lost it. I’m glad she was just acting to appease “A”. She knows “A” is not playing games when it comes to someone disobeying them.

Mona went on with her Alison act and kind of became the leader of the group, naturally. Since Mona had been there for so long, she knew he ins and outs of the dollhouse. From experience and the torture “A” put her through, she was able to share that information with the girls. Honestly, this was the biggest OMG moment of the night!

The Hastings pay a visit to Alison. Officer Toby goes to Mr. and Mrs. Hastings to inform them of what happened to their daughter and the other girls. Apparently, the cops know, but they want to keep it a secret and out of the press. I would’ve loved to see all the parents be informed, but oh well.

Mr. and Mrs. Hastings were hell bent on thinking it’s all Alison’s doing, which frustrated me. Like, how does an 18 year old girl who is distraught and sentenced to life in prison, have ANYTHING to do with 4 other teenage girls disappearing. Sure, Ali was a great manipulator, but really? Their theory leads them to Alison to ask her questions and Ali finally tells the truth about the return of “A”. I’m so happy because they actually believe her later on. They become part of the “A” search party along with Ezra, Caleb and Toby.

Detective Tanner teams up with Caleb and “A”s lair is found. Earlier in the episode, Toby tries hacking the police radar for the van, but doesn’t get very far. Detective Tanner also gets some research done, which leads her to Caleb and issuing a warrant of arrest. This angered me as well. Tanner was so focused on finding evidence against the girls and their boyfriends. I was so happy that the Hastings were representing Caleb and pretty much manipulated Tanner into allowing Caleb to use their system to do some more hacking/research.

Caleb uses the police system and is able to find the van. I found it so hilarious when Tanner put her hand on his shoulder, and he brushed it off like “Bitch, don’t touch me.” It looks like Caleb might be the next person joining the Rosewood police force!

His research leads them to the Campbell apple farm, a place where the Hastings used to take the girls when they were younger. I didn’t really find that piece of information with the girls useful, but the Campbell apple farm was a trigger. In case you forgot, Campbell is Andrew’s last name. Oh and the Campbell farm is where “A”s lair is. Finally, Tanner sees that the girls have been kidnapped.

A twisted Senior Prom takes place and “A” is revealed. In the dollhouse, “A” wants to relive a prom that’s happened in the past, meaning it’s either a current or past student of Rosewood High School. Of course, “A” puts the girls to work. Aria in charge of the music, Emily and Spencer in charge of decorating, Hanna taking care of the food, and Mona (as Alison) overseeing the prom queen committee.

Spencer uses this decorating committee as a way to enact an escape plan and boy, do I love the way Spencer thinks. Spencer goes along with “A”s game wanting to plan a beautiful prom with an elaborate entrance for Alison, considering Alison is their favorite. She mentions some things needed to decorate and the next day “A” delivers, not expecting that they are about to get played by these girls. But one thing we need to remember is that “A” is always ahead in the game.

In between all the set up, Spencer puts some pieces of the puzzle together. When she was in “A”s play room she saw the letter blocks and her mind put together a name: Charles. And if you remember the note in Mona’s mirror, Charles DiLaurentis. #CHARLESISA

Once everything is set up and ready, “A” provides the girls with some beautiful prom dresses and although this isn’t the prom they dreamed of, at least they looked good right? As they wait for Alison aka Mona to come down the stairs and crown her Prom Queen, they ask Charles to come out amongst the mannequin prom guests. He does and once they get closer, the use their little camera contraption to bust out the circuits, giving them enough time to try and escape. I thought that the girls could’ve at least beat “A” a little bit and even unmask them. I mean, the five ladies are so badass, I think they could’ve taken him.

Spencer finds a room with “A”s belongings, including some home videos and pictures. Spencer plays the video and we see a younger Mrs. DiLaurentis with baby Alison and two young boys outside the Campbell farm, one we can assume is Jason and another who may possible another DiLaurentis son. Spencer finally stands face to face with the masked “A” and it’s a tense moment, but he manages to disappear right as Mona appears to interrupt the moment.

The final scene brings us to the girls escaping, but they’re fenced in. You know why? Because “A” is always one step ahead.

Honestly, this season 5 finale had so many intense moments, but the “Big A Reveal” was not what I expected. I was hoping we’d actually see a face. No more masks, distractions or diversions. But all we got was a name. Sure, we got the answer to who “A” was, #CharlesIsA, but we were all left with one big question: WHO THE HELL IS CHARLES?  It was such a huge tease. -_-

With that being said, here is my #PLLTheory of the week: Obviously, the Campbell farm with “A”s lair is very important. Andrew Campbell seems to be involved with this. After all, he was listening in on Mrs. Hastings’ phone conversation with Melissa and he’s been very creepy as of lately watching the girls closely and worming his way into one of their lives. It could be very possible that he was the other boy in that DiLaurentis home video. He could very much be Jason’s twin and Alison’s other older brother (if that other boy was a DiLaurentis son). Charles may be “A”, but you can’t spell Andrew without “A” either, right?

What do you think was the biggest reveal of the night?MONAALIVEcharlesisa

You know what to do. Leave me your thoughts, comments and theories!

My Top 5 moments of “The Melody Lingers On”, A PLL Recap!

It’s that time of the week again and we finally get into Alison’s trial! Check out what happened last week here.

Anyways you know the drill…here are my top 5 moments of tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, “The Melody Lingers On.”

creepyandrew5. Andrew is creepy. Don’t trust Andrew and his dimples. In the past, we saw him get close to Spencer and it all seemed harmless, but now he’s been trying to woo Aria. He’s helped Aria look after Mike and managed to get on Ezra’s radar as well. But don’t let those dimples fool you. If we’ve learned one thing on Pretty Little Liars, it’s to trust no one. Basically tonight Andrew reached a whole new level. Amongst talk of the Alison DiLaurentis trial, he brings up being tired of everyone memorializing Mona, implying that they’re all better off without the intelligent girl who’s always one step ahead. Everyone was jealous of Alison, but it looks like Andrew was jealous of Mona. Later in the episode, we see Andrew creeping around Mona’s house.

4. Mona’s house is broken into! During Alison’s trial, Mrs. Vanderwaal is nowhere to be found and the girls are determined to find any more clue Mona left behind. After it appears no one is home, they walk away defeated, but then hear some interesting french music coming from Mona’s room indicating that someone is actually present. They rush to the door which happens to be conveniently unlocked. Mona’s room is in shambles and “A” left a note. But the girls think like Mona and find that “A” didn’t actually find a thing. Thinking like Mona leads them to the following clue: “Chandelier’s rituals. Sister launched lair. A ruler’s list chained.” What does that mean? I have no idea.noteAs the girls leave, we see what I mentioned earlier, Andrew watching them from afar. The camera then takes us to a broken window and an ice pick stabbing the floor. We see the ice pick at the end of the episode being examined and it happens to be from the ice cream factory Aria, Spencer and Emily previously visited.acalls3. “A” calls back. Caleb and the girls spent a lot of time constantly calling the number Emily found, but no one was successful in ever reaching anyone on the other line. Spencer, being the awesome person she is, remembered the number in the personal ads and found that it was the same number! After pestering the number some more, out of the blue, Varjak/A calls Aria’s phone and all they can hear is some french record playing in the background. This isn’t familiar to any of the girls, but it’s familiar to the viewers and Hanna. This is what actually prompts the girls to search Mona’s house for some evidence to get Hanna out. Hanna mentions that Mona used to play a lot of French music in her room. Later in the episode, we see Emily listening in on some secrets on that contraption that Johnny made and she actually hears the french music! How creepy is that?!

2. Jason changes his story. Spencer spends half the episode trying to speak to Jason about the trial and Ali’s innocence. She constantly tries to apologize and seems to be one of the factors in Jason changing his story. If you don’t remember what Jason said, here’s a little refresher: Mr. D and Jason backed up Ali’s alibi that she was home and then Jason ended up taking that back saying she was actually away. When he was shown the video of Mona getting attacked he even said that the blonde girl may be Alison, but during his testimony he basically says he doesn’t believe that Alison did it.JASON

With Jason’s change in heart, the prosecution brought up his “intimate” affair with Ashley Marin, implying that Ashley convinced him to change his mind due to Hanna’s alleged involvement in the whole thing. Who knew #JasonAndAshley would have any affect on the trial!? Spencer said it best, “The truth will set you free, but first it turns you inside out.”

1. Ali’s trial begins. So this isn’t really one specific moment considering the whole episode revolved around Alison’s trial, but the whole thing made me so nervous. Alison had her doubts and she remained very adamant about telling her truth. Let me point out some moments that are not mentioned above:alison

  • Mrs. Hastings suggests that the girls don’t go, mainly Spencer. She’s so worried about what everyone will think of her daughter. Emily and Aria end up going the first day, but Spencer actually listens to her mom. But we all knew Spencer couldn’t stay away. And let’s just say that Mrs. Hastings was not a happy camper.
  • Alison calls Emily and all the Emison shippers had a glint of hope. Honestly, I never really liked Emily with anyone else but Alison. I know, I know..they had a toxic relationship, but a part of me is still rooting for them.
  • The prosecution knew that Alison lied about her supposed kidnapping, making the other girls targets as well. After Mr. DiLaurentis found out they knew about Alison’s lies, he accused them of convincing her to do so. I get that Mr. D is defending his daughter, but for some reason I was very annoyed with his behavior.

Alison’s trial continues next week and from the looks of it we’ll learn the jury’s verdict (unless they leave us with a cliffhanger). I’m hoping the girls decipher Mona’s note, because I’m still stuck on what it is. I just want to see both Hanna and Alison out of the orange jumpsuits and back with the others to take down the real “A”.

With that being said, we’re one episode away from “the big reveAl” and I’d love to hear your thoughts and theories so far!

Pretty Little Liars Recap: To Plea or Not to Plea…that is the question:

Hey little liars, we meet again! Last week, I started a different format for my recap with a list of my top 5 moments of the episode, so I figured I’d continue that trend. We’re so close to finding out who “A” is, two episodes to be exact, and tonight we got a little bit closer, but not without some detective work and heartbreaks.

Ready for my top 5 moments? In case you’re confused, these are not in chronological order.

5. Ezria is done and Spoby might as well be. While Ezra joins Aria and Emily in their search for Varjak, he sees a text to Aria from A…Andrew, which prompts the hashtag #WhosAndrew. This makes for an awkward conversation. Ezra is obviously jealous and Aria feels pretty guilty about it. Later in the episode, they have “the talk” and Aria admits that she thinks Ezra was right about space and experiencing college as a single lady. But is it really the end of Ezria? I HOPE NOT. At least they agree to remain friends. After all they’ve been through with this “A” game, I don’t ever see them not being friends.whosandrewAs far as the Spoby front, Spencer’s been pretty down about Toby’s distance ever since he joined the police force. Their relationship status is unknown at this moment, but we do know that guys are lining up to be with Spencer. First, there was Johnny and now there’s Colin with his British accent. It appears he has a way of calming her down and making her forget about what’s going on at home when they’re together. But I still don’t trust him.

4. Melissa returns sans Wren. Her and Spencer share a heartfelt talk about the Rosewood drama and promise each other to have no more secrets/lies between them. Melissa even convinces Spencer to stay for her interview at St. Andrews. But the lies continue between them when Spencer finds out there isn’t actually an interview set up. It turns out that Mrs. Hastings had Melissa come up with a plan to keep Spencer away from the latest revelation in the DiLaurentis case! This also makes me think Colin was in on the plan too. Anyways, I’ve missed Melissa because the Hastings sisters have such a great dynamic with each other.

3. Mona’s lawyer meets Varjak. Remember when I said Ezra was helping the girls? Well, he knew nothing about Varjak from his research, but he came up with the idea that Mona’s lawyer may have been in on Mona’s plan or worse…working for “A”. Ezra confronts the lawyer and it’s so obvious he knows something. Emily, Ezra and Aria follow Mona’s lawyer to a gated house, but Emily is the only one that makes it past the gate. She almost gets caught several times but managed to find a pizza receipt with Varjak’s name and number. So if Varjak is “A”, we’re one step closer to finding them! But I’m so curious to see what’s going to come out of their little discovery considering there was a camera right at the gate.

2. Alison gets a plea bargain. Alison still wants to tell the her side of the story, but her lawyer is still against it and reveals that the judge has agreed to give her a plea bargain. If she pleads guilty and names her accomplice, the sentencing is reduced from life without parole to 15 years with parole. The thing is, Alison didn’t have an accomplice. But the police have some compelling evidence that it’s one of the other girls. “A” even gets in Alison’s head by infiltrating the prison and getting the other inmates to scare/attack her. By the end of the episode, everyone thinks that Alison took the plea bargain because…

1. Hanna is arrested. Remember last week when Mrs. Hastings found out something that prompted her to change Spencer’s plans to return to Rosewood? She knew about the plea bargain and thought the DA had some evidence against Spencer, but it turns out all the evidence pointed towards Hanna. As Ashley Marin’s friend, she decides to tell her about Hanna and the younger Marin overhears the conversation.hanna1

Hanna spends the whole episode freaking out and I can’t blame her. Ashley confronts Hanna and she is forced to tell her mother that someone is framing her and Alison. While Ashley is off trying to find a lawyer, Caleb finds out from Toby that the police have a warrant of arrest for Hanna because they found her blood among Mona’s things. Again, everyone automatically assumes Alison took the plea bargain.msgsdeleted

Caleb convinces Hanna that it’s time to come clean to Tanner and tell her how she and the others are being harassed by “A”. When she’s about ready to do so, “A”, like always, is one step ahead and manages to hack into Hanna’s phone to delete all the texts and photos. The other girls don’t have any evidence either to back up Hanna because “A” thinks they need a fresh start. By the end of the episode, Hanna is booked and in jail, and Alison decides to decline the plea bargain and stick around in the same facility.

hamison1And there you have it. Tonight’s episode had me emotional because I hate seeing my favorite character going to jail for something she didn’t do. I was left heartbroken. I can’t wait to see the dynamic between Hanna and Alison while they’re in jail!

You know the drill. Let me know what your thoughts are!

Pretty Little Liars Recap: My top 5 OMG moments of “Bloody Hell”

Hey little liars! I’m going to take a different approach recapping tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars and instead of a play by play of what’s going on, I’m going to give you my top ‘OMG’ moments

coach#5. Mrs. Hastings visited Ali. So the episode started off with Aria, Emily and Spencer visiting Alison in jail after last week’s Mona revelation. The girls tell Ali about Mike’s involvement and things get complicated. Later on in the episode, Mrs. Hastings finds out about Spencer’s visit and she is not happy! She ends up visiting Alison, and gives her a piece of her mind, questioning her about why the girls visited. Alison simply states that they know she’s innocent. Mrs. Hastings finds it hard to believe because of all the lies Ali has told. And while Ali wants to tell her side of the story because this time it’s true, her lawyers don’t think it’s a good idea. Mrs. Hastings agrees, but mentions if she does she would need a coach. Alison boldly asked Mrs. Hastings to take on that role and I’m curious if she’ll actually do it!

ariadrew#4. Aria and Andrew share a moment in Mike’s room. Aria is looking for some sort of schedule in Mike’s room to see where he’s at to question him about “A”. For some reason, this schedule is located on a dart board above his bench press. Obviously Aria is a tiny girl, so in order to reach for the schedule she jumps on top of the bench press. After a few seconds, Aria is on the ground as the bench press collapses. Andrew happens to enter the house and sees that the bolt and washers didn’t match, which caused the bench to collapse. Aria immediately knows who this handy work belonged to, “A”. As Andrew tends to her swollen foot, Aria starts getting emotional because she knows Mike is now a target. Andrew notices Aria’s emotional state, comforts her and ends up leaning in and kissing Aria. And while we saw this coming, it hurts to actually see it happen because of our dear Ezra.

spencerblood#3. Spencer freaks out in the UK. Mrs. Hastings shipped Spencer off to Oxford because Wren was able to get the younger Hastings an interview with someone in admissions at Oxford University. Mrs. Hastings knows what’s up: Spencer’s going to college and it’s going to be far far away from Rosewood. Spencer’s interview was going so well, until the interviewer noticed some red liquid all over Spencer’s bag and the chair in his office. Spencer rumages through her purse and sees a broken tube of blood. Who’s blood? It could be anyone’s! And Spencer freaks out which is understandable. “A” managed to slip something in her purse without her knowing and if TSA were to find that, Spencer would’ve been in huge trouble. After Spencer freaks on the phone with Aria, she heads back to her sister’s flat, and freaks out with her carry on luggage, knowing “A” has something planned. Later on, Mrs. Hastings calls Spencer and tells her to cancel her flight home. Something big is about to happen very soon.

varjak#2. Cyrus/Hank ends up in the hospital in the burn unit. After Aria learns about Mike’s revelation, she goes into investigative mode and searches for Cyrus and finds out he’s at the hospital. They said it was an accident, but we all know it’s probably the work of “A”. Aria recruits Hanna to accompany her to hospital and they convince the nurse that Cyrus is their cousin. As they visit, Cyrus reveals it wasn’t an accident and they question who did it. Cyrus struggles but ends up writing the name “Varjack” on some paper. Hanna figures out that Cyrus has actually met with this person by the way he spells “Varjack” incorrectly. After Hanna and Aria leave, one of the other “patients” in the burn unit is seen getting up and walking over to Cyrus. “A” is not happy. Or is “A” sending the girls on a wild goose chase?

AND MY TOP “OMG” Moment of the night…

imsorry#1. Ali apologizes and I got very emotional. At the beginning of the episode, Hanna was missing from the reunion. She felt bad for her previous visit where she accused Alison, and finally decided to face her again on her own to apologize. But Alison beats her to the punch.

“When I first got here I kept thinking how did this happen? What did I do to deserve this? You know I honestly thought that I was helping you guys. Telling you what to wear, how to act, who to like. Then when you stopped listening, I found new people who would. Being here, no one listens to me. I can’t even decide what to wear or what to eat or when to shower. I’m told everything. Everything’s in order. And I never realized how bad that felt to be on the other side of that, so I’m sorry.”

This time I felt like Alison was being sincere and telling the truth. She finally realized what she did wrong. It took her a while and some extreme circumstances for her to do so, but she finally did it. So many times, we’ve trusted Alison, like the girls did, and then so many times we were let down. But after this I don’t think I can hate Alison and I’m hoping for a happy ending. Alison asks Hanna if they could start over. It’s possible but from now on they all have to truthful to each other. Hanna’s first question: “Who is Varjak?”

So those were my top moments of tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars. What were your favorite moments? LET ME KNOW BELOW.

“Pretty Isn’t the Point” A PLL Recap

Hi friends! Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past few weeks, but I’m here now in case you missed me!

So over the last few weeks, Mike Montgomery has been a huge creep. He’s been visiting Ali and hiding some secrets and blood, which lead the girls to believe he’s working for “A”. And that is where tonight’s episode kicks off.

Aria and the others are going through Mike’s room and I know when he finds out, he is going to have a huge fit. In Mike’s room they discover a few things: He has jock itch, he likes to workout and he’s bought a little cute necklace for someone with the message “I’m with you”. Who is he with? Mona or Alison?

Hanna is still determined to be part of the Miss Teen beauty pageant to win the prize money. In case you missed it, Hanna’s dad isn’t able to help her financially when it comes to going to college. But he’s apparently there for his step daughter, Kate. Hanna isn’t really happy about that. Later we see she hires a pageant coach, and let’s just say things don’t go right.

Andrew, the same Andrew that tutored and flirted with Spencer, is now tutoring Aria. During the tutoring session, Mike confronts Aria and last week’s Magic Mike turns into Mad Mike and threatens his own sister. Little Mike Montgomery has a temper on him and it’s quite scary.

Aria gets Andrew to follow Mike around. He finds Mike putting something inside a tree outside of Mona’s house. Andrew offers to help Aria snoop around some more to see what’s in the tree, but she insists that she’s fine. Honestly, Andrew is getting too close for comfort at this time.

Johnny, the new guy that lives in Spencer’s backyard, is also getting too close for comfort. Last week he managed to get Spencer to unknowingly vandalize Hollis! That piece of vandalism happened to make it into an art gallery and Johnny isn’t too happy. He is hell bent on stealing his art back and somehow Spencer is convinced to do so too. You know this is the work of “A”.

Back on the “Hanna for Ms. Teen” front, Emily is recruited to help with the talent portion and help Hanna come up with some bangin’ moves (they dance to “Bang Bang”). During the practice, Caleb breaks the news that stepsister Kate has signed up. Again, Hanna is not happy and she will not let Kate take this away from her. YOU GO GIRL!

Spencer and Johnny begin their mission of stealing back their artwork. Johnny looks to have some trouble with unlocking the door, but Spencer’s done it so many times, she’s a pro. Basically, Johnny’s unprepared. Thank goodness for Spencer right? But Johnny messes up the whole thing by tripping up an alarm. Later at a gas station, Officer Toby pulls up and questions Johnny, arresting him. Spencer tries to defend Johnny, but yells at Toby because she thinks he’s doing this because he’s mad at her. He tells Spencer to leave and that Detective Tanner is going to use their relationship against him. I think Spencer doesn’t seem to understand that he’s doing his job. Everyone seems to be mad at Toby, but really, what is he supposed to do in this situation?

Hanna’s going hard during her dance routine in front of her coach, but goes a little overboard. Emily ends up letting Hanna do a solo, but she’s as confused as ever. Let’s just say her coach wasn’t too thrilled either. The pageant coach tells Hanna off and simply put, she thinks Hanna is not pageant material. Hanna leaves an emotional wreck and hears the coach tell Emily that she is pageant material. Hanna doesn’t stay long enough to hear Emily defending Hanna and that’s why I love Emily.

Aria goes on her own adventure to find what Mike put in the tree. She finds a little pint of blood, but her adventure is cut short when Mike finds her. Aria confronts Mike and he reveals that it’s Mona’s blood. Aria freaks out, which is understandable and the pint of blood drops before Aria rushes to her car.

Back to Hanna and Emily, Ashley comes in to reveal that Hanna’s father knows nothing about the pageant and that Kate’s not even in town, meaning this disaster was set in motion by “A”. Hanna is discouraged and she refuses to do the pageant. But you know what?! Emily is going to do it for Hanna. She doesn’t care if “A” comes after her, she will always have her girls’ backs!

Johnny is back from jail because Mrs. Hastings posted his bail and also happened to kick him out of her backyard. Spencer still happens to blame Toby for most of it. Before Johnny leaves, he kisses Spencer and boy am I not happy. Ugh.

Aria comes home looking for her dad and when Mike comes in right after she threatens to call the police! OMG. But Mike finally tells her the truth and boy, is this a big revelation. The night before Mona died, Mike made a surprise visit to Mona and found her stash of blood. Turns out Mona is working for “A” again. She was trying to gain their trust. They wanted Alison in jail and Mona was there to help – stage her own death and frame Alison for it. Once she gains their trust and finds out who “A” is, she can come back and save the other girls, including Alison.

Mike was supposed to meet Mona several times after the staged death, but he still hasn’t seen her. It appears “A” killed Mona after all. “A” is always one step ahead right? So “A” must’ve known that Mona was going to stab them in the back eventually.

So basically the girls accused Alison of being “A” and are now faced with the task of apologizing and helping Alison get out of jail.

The final scene has “A” sneaking into Mike’s bedroom, working out a little and busting out a wrench. And here comes an “A” prediction. Andrew is “A”. He’s been getting too close for comfort. Maybe he’s so pissed off that none of the girls reciprocated his flirty feelings. He’s oddly around during this Mike situation and I don’t know who else to accuse at this point.

But at least it’s only FOUR more episodes until the big “A” reveal! This is not a drill. It’s actually happening this time and I cannot wait. I just want to find out who “A” is and bring them down so our girls can go off to college and be happy.

What are your thoughts and theories after tonight’s episode? Hit me up below 🙂

Adele

“The Bin of Sin”, A Pretty Little Liars Recap!

Pretty Little Liars 5×17 “The Bin of Sin” Recap

Tonight’s episode is conveniently titled “The Bin of Sin” considering Spencer and Caleb’s discovery last week. The girls, especially Hanna, are in quite the predicament and tensions are high!

Tconfronted1he episode takes place after Hanna and Caleb find out who the storage unit is leased to. Turns out the plan to frame Hanna was put in motion months ago, before Alison went to jail. Hanna is freaking out, with good reason, and wants to get rid of everything in the storage bin, but the girls and Caleb are not too keen to the idea.

We musn’t forget that Aria has her own drama with the letter and telling Ezra before “A” does. However, the letter may not be the only thing Aria has to worry about because Talia made him a pecan pie and we all know how much Ezra loves pie. Emily shuts it down, but later on we find out all this talk about pie and buns is just Talia’s way of finding out who Emily’s into. Looks like Em has a new love interest!

Spencer ditches school to tell Toby about the storage bin and Hanna, but that gets interrupted when Detective Tanner walks in. Spencer leaves and Tanner sees that Toby is reading up on Alison’s case file. He lets her know his theory about someone, aka Detective Holbrook, manipulating Alison’s lie detector test. Tanner puts Toby in his place and reminds him he’s only been a cop for “all of 6 minutes”. It’s true though, like how does this rookie cop get so involved in this Alison case, especially considering he knows everyone that’s involved personally?

After shutting down the girls’ plan to erase Hanna’s name from the lease and pin the storage bin on Holbrook, Hanna does her research on getting rid of evidence. While Caleb is successful at corrupting the files that has Hanna’s name on it, it’s not enough for Hanna and she ropes Caleb into helping her.

Aria finally tells Ezra that she got into Talmadge and shows him the letter that got her in. Ezra seems so understanding and even thinks it was a brilliant move on Aria’s part. However, I know there’s something brewing in his mind that may affect Ezria in the long run and it makes me nervous.

After the one night stand with Jason and the proposal from Ted, Ashley finds it’s best to resign from his job. Later on, we find that although it’s awkward, Ashley leaves on good terms and some advice. “You can’t move forward, if you’re stuck in the past,” she says, but Jason kisses Ashley and it gets awkward, again.

Spencer sees that the laptop is on the move and automatically thinks it’s Hanna., with Caleb helping, but we all know this is a wild goose chase considering the fact that Hanna and Caleb are still breaking into the storage unit. Haleb discovers that everything is gone except for the barrel and they are one step behind “A”. Things never change.

The laptop leads the other girls to an abandoned ice cream factory.splitup2 They lose track of the laptop because there’s no service, and Aria has the genius idea to split up. After all those times they’ve been trapped in abandoned places, you’d think they’d learn by now. Like why would you split up in a dark, abandoned place and why would Hanna and Caleb even be there?

On the way out of the storage unit, Hanna and Caleb run into Detective Tanner and Toby. The looks on Haleb’s faces scream guilty and nervous. They manage to leave, but Tanner and Toby head to the infamous storage bin after getting an anonymous tip and find that it appears to have been broken into. Later on, Tanner sends Toby to call a Hazmat team as she takes a peak into the barrel. From the looks on her face, she seems to know exactly what/who it is. She does end up finding a little blood on the floor of the storage unit, so I hope we’ll learn who that belongs to soon.

Back at the abandoned ice cream factory, Spencer hears Hanna and Caleb’s voices, but it turns out it’s the laptop playing a recording of Hanna and Caleb having the conversation about getting rid of the evidence in Hanna’s kitchen. The laptop happens to be in what appears to be a freezer. Aria finds Spencer, but as they get ready to go find Emily and leave, “A” traps them inside and turns the liquid nitrogen on, leaving Sparia to freeze to death! This was one of the most intense scenes this season! I kept screaming for Emily to save them!

regrets1After what was definitely a traumatizing experience, Ezra and Aria spend a little time together. Ezra is there to take her mind off of all things “A” and he gets her an engraved journal as a congrats to getting accepted into Talmadge. This sweet scene takes a turn when he brings up the letter and sort of breaks up with Aria, telling her he doesn’t want her to have any regrets. No, just no.

Hanna confronts Spencer and accuses her of telling Toby about the storage unit. I hate when the girls fight. I think what bothers me the most is that they expect Toby to basically be a crooked cop. He’s only been a cop for a few months right? Isn’t that a little too early for him to be tampering and hiding evidence? I get they’re all friends and whatnot, it doesn’t make sense to blame Toby for doing his job. After Hanna puts the blame on Toby, Spencer defends him and practically says it’s Hanna’s fault for going to the unit and bringing Caleb with her. “A” is always one step ahead and that statement rings through my mind every time.

As Spencer tries to get a hold of Toby, Detective Tanner interrupts again. She lets Toby know that if what’s in the barrel and the drops of blood matches Mona’s DNA, his friends will be the first people she questions. Tanner also reminds that Toby that he took an oath to be a police officer and lays it all on the table putting Toby in a bind. “If there’s anything that I should know, now is the time to tell me.”

It appears that Spencer’s words got through to Hanna. She goes to see Caleb and every Haleb shipper’s heart started to break. Hanna wants to protect Caleb and keep him out of all this mess, but Caleb is not letting Hanna go that easy. If Hanna goes to jail, Caleb goes too.

Toby finally calls Spencer back and she’s an emotional wreck as Toby lies about staying at work late. I wonder what happened during Toby’s conversation with Detective Tanner.

See you next week, little liars!

Pretty Little Liars Recap: “Over A Barrel”

On tonight’s episode, things get a little crazy over a barrel. And with good reason.

The episode begins with a little recap from all the girls on the Alison/Holbrook situation. In case you missed it, last week Spencer and Caleb destroyed a bloody knife and Hanna found out that Holbrook wasn’t actually visiting his father. Aria on the other hand, got into college by writing a letter basically dissing her relationship with Ezra, which takes us to “A”s first message of the night. The letter prints on a receipt at Ezra’s cafe/bookstore. “This kind of lie will stay on your permanent record. -A” I still can’t believe Aria wrote the letter.

Again, amongst all the drama, we are reminded that they are in high school. It seems like Aria is about to tell Ezra about the Talmadge acceptance, but she stops when Ezra mentions the professor that liked her the night before. Spencer also has some college woes when she receives acceptance letters from several colleges. It becomes a touchy subject as Toby congratulates her, but she’s not happy about being accepted into random places like the University of Hawaii because of “A”. Good thing newbie roommate Johnny is there to break up the tension between Spoby.

Aria gets a text from “H” telling her to stop looking and to meet them at the Grill. Her and Emily automatically assume its Holbrook, but I just wonder why Aria over anybody else?

All of the girls get some kind of text alert from Mona. Is Mona sending texts from the grave or is “A” playing mind games again? Caleb and Spencer deduce that it’s a security alert that she set up when she was alive, showing the coordinates of where her laptop is located. Knowing that “A” would get their hands on this laptop Mona appears to be helping the girls find their way, even when she’s dead. That girl was always a step ahead and I miss her.

The coordinates in Mona’s security alert lead Caleb and Spencer to a storage place, specifically storage unit 1017. One of Spencer’s teachers sees them and mentions a really bad odor coming from that storage unit and my red flags go up. Spencer asks her teacher if she’s ever spoken to the owner, but all she mentions is that it’s a blonde girl. Could it be Alison?

While waiting for “H”, Aria runs into Jason who ends up getting ditched by Ashley. He ends up inviting Aria for lunch, so any plans Aria has with “H” are squashed. That is, unless Jason is “H”! Jason reveals the cops’ theories that Alison has someone that was working for her and Aria plants the idea that Alison may have manipulated Holbrook to help her. During their little lunch meeting, Aria gets another text from “H” to meet them at a flower shop.

Earlier in the episode, we found that Pastor Ted returned from his trip. It gets complicated especially considering Hanna spends a good amount of the episode trying to confront her mom about her hookup with Jason DiLaurentis. When Hanna meets Pastor Ted, he asks Hanna for her blessing on asking Ashley to marry him. Hanna is on #TeamTed. He comes up with this cute proposal with a cookie, but Ashley lets him down by saying she needs time to think. It is sad, but at the same time before she can accept any proposal she needs to tell Ted the truth.

Emily isn’t really too involved in the Alison problem at this point as she is still hung up on Paige and also happens to have a new co-worker. Her and Talia are still butting heads. Talia, however, ends up giving Emily a little relationship advice that actually seems to help Emily move on a little bit.

Caleb and Spencer successfully break into the storage unit in question. They find everything put in place neatly, with Mona’s computer and a bunch of bloody clothes packed in a plastic bag. Everything starts to click and Caleb theorizes that Holbrook is keeping everything to build a case against one of them.

Spaleb comes across a barrel and if you’re thinking what they’re thinking, Mona may be inside. But I really hope that’s not the case. Spencer sees some ingredients and puts her biology knowledge to use. Antacid tablets + denatured alcohol + water = preservation or it’s corrosive. “So she’s either being pickled or dissolved?” Yes, Caleb just said that. Right before they try to open the barrel, the lights turn off.

After leaving the storage unit and erasing any evidence that they were there, Spencer and Caleb decide they need to connect the storage unit to Holbrook. Spencer thinks it’s best leave Toby out of it and Caleb goes on a mission to find the who the storage unit is leased to.

“H” ended up not meeting Aria at the flower shop and instead had her deliver flowers to Ashley Marin. Aria’s on a wild goose chase. Aria ends up at Hanna’s house and reads the card, finding out it’s allegedly from Jason. Hanna automatically thinks it’s one of Alison’s games and reveals to Aria that she visited Alison in jail. Honestly, I’m confused about this. Why would this “H” (for Hanna? Holbrook?) send Aria on this mission?

Spoby finally seems like they’re on somewhat good terms. The college distance conversation is brought up, but Spencer suggests that Toby can come with her to wherever she ends up and Toby’s is happy with that answer. The moment is ruined when Toby sees a text message to Spencer from Caleb. Let’s just say keeping things from Officer Toby is too hard and Toby wants it to stop. “Whatever you say Officer.”

Talia admires Emily in her casual clothing, then proceeds to ask Emily if she likes Ezra’s cute buns. Does Emily have a new love interest already?!

Johnny comes back to retrieve the egg Spencer promised at the beginning so he can make his paints, but then asks some questions about Alison and the great headlines that Rosewood makes. He ends up giving Spencer a pep talk and it looks like Spencer may not take the college route after all. I’m still thinking he’s working for someone. Trust no one.

The ending revelation makes me uneasy and pissed. Caleb breaks the news to Hanna about who the storage unit belongs to and it’s the blonde herself. Hanna’s being framed and I am not happy.

The final “A” scene takes us into Holbrook’s office and “A” easily logging into Holbrook’s computer. Is it Holbrook or someone else?

Next week looks quite intense, but when does it not?

Adele

Pretty Little Liars “Fresh Meat” Recap

Previously on Pretty Little Liars…we saw Alison DiLaurentis arrested for the murder of Mona Vanderwaal. Now that Alison is in jail, “A” needs to find “fresh meat” to mess with and who better to start with than the other girls.

The episode begins with our favorite Rosewood Police Officer, Toby, who happens to be dropping off some paperwork at the women’s correctional Ali is at for Detective Tanner. Conveniently, the blonde is sitting in the hall chained to a bench. We’re all so used to seeing Alison all dressed up and flawless, but you know what they say…orange is the new black. Alison thinks Toby should pass on a message to his girlfriend and the others to see her before “A” gets to them, but he doesn’t budge. No one wants to believe Alison’s stories anymore, with good reason.

Officer Toby runs to the girls and tells them about his little conversation. They all discuss the theory that Holbrook is helping Alison in this game, but Hanna defends him thinking that Alison manipulated him. Also, amongst this convo, we learn that Hanna is smart little cookie and got into several schools, so she can’t be with the scooby gang the upcoming weekend because she’s visiting a campus. Aria tries to avoid the topic all together, which I find funny considering I always forget they have classes and school to go to. Note to self: They’re teenagers!

The Mona investigation is in full force again when Detective Tanner issues another search around the Vanderwaal residence. I still think Toby is too connected to it all and shouldn’t be involved, but what do I know? Anyways, Toby sees a knife underneath a pile of leaves and leaves it there as if he’s seen nothing. He then runs to Spencer and Caleb and we learn that the knife belonged to Toby’s father and that Caleb used that knife when he was staying at the cabin. Toby is put in an awkward position when he decides he should go back and turn it in as evidence, while Spencer and Caleb think they should get it and destroy it. A compromise is made when Spencer suggests they all just leave it where it is.

Among the Mona investigation and Aria’s college problems, Emily feels like she’s having some relationship problems with Paige. She convinces Ezra she can cater for his bookstore opening in hopes she can make enough money to visit Paige during Spring Break. This storyline cracked me up during this episode because Emily and Ezra interactions are pure gold.

Alison calls the DiLaurentis office and Ashley picks up. Jason does not want to speak to his sister, so of course Mrs. Marin is put in an awkward situation. Jason has only seen Alison once and he thinks Alison may have had something to do with Mrs. DiLaurentis’ death.

During Hanna’s Ballard campus visit, she calls Caleb and he reveals that Toby found a bloody knife. Caleb doesn’t want Hanna to worry, but she goes against Caleb’s wishes and drops her little campus visit.

After receiving a few angry texts from Hanna, Spencer goes to see Caleb about his big mouth and finds out that he’s going back to get the knife. Caleb reveals what happened in his past and that he can’t get taken in on suspicion of murder….again, if the police find the knife and find his prints on it. At first I thought he was going to get into his time in Ravenswood, but I guess seeing dead people doesn’t really get you thrown in jail. Instead of telling Toby, Spencer decides to help Caleb.

Hanna is on a hunt for Holbrook. Apparently, Holbrook had to take a personal leave to take care of his sick father, so Hanna finds herself in a trailer park in the middle of the night all by her lonesome. She comes across a creepy man slaughtering deer and a little boy on a bike who happens to be the son of Mr. Holbrook. After finding Papa Holbrook, he tells Hanna that he hasn’t seen Detective Holbrook in weeks and once again another person mistakes Hanna for Alison. After Hanna walks back to her car, all four doors are open and she finds her little college stuffed animal on the driver seat with the deer guts sewed into it. Little boy Holbrook creepily peddles away on his bike.

Instead of throwing the knife into the lake, Spencer and Caleb think it’s best to destroy the knife before “A” can get their hands on it. They head to the school to burn it, but of course “A” is already one step ahead of them. Spencer’s curiosity leads her out of the room, leaving “A” to lock Caleb in the kiln at school. Luckily, Spencer gets back in time to get Caleb out of the burning hot room. While the two think they got rid of the knife, I think “A” got their hands on it among the madness.

Back on the Aria vs. college admissions front, Aria writes a personal letter to get off the waitlist of Talmadge college. It is revealed that Jackie, Ezra’s ex, is on the admissions board so the letter is about how she regrets being in a secret relationship. Emily thinks its a bad idea, but the damage is done considering Aria already sent the letter. Listening to Em’s advice, drives all the way to see Jackie to try to erase the letter, but Jackie already saw it. She empathizes with Aria and we all know this is going to go wrong. Jackie later sends Aria a little acceptance message, but “A” also sends Aria a message. Ezra’s going to be very disappointed and when Jackie finds out, Aria’s college experience probably won’t be as great as she thinks.

Hanna actually visits Alison after her little trailer park visit with the creepy Holbrook family. Alison tries to convince Hanna that she had nothing to do with Mona’s murder. On Thanksgiving, Ali got a message from Cyrus to meet him and he never showed. Could it really have been the work of “A” trying to frame Alison? Either way, Hanna doesn’t give a damn.

Toby is not happy with Spencer and Toby finally says what I’ve been wanting him to realize. “Spencer, I can’t listen to this….There are things that I can’t know about, things that you can’t say out loud,” he says before walking away from Spencer and my heart can’t take it.

The final scene takes us back to Alison in her cell and she gets a little message: “Your friends will see you soon.” It doesn’t appear to be signed by “A”, but clearly it’s someone who’s going to land the girls in jail.

Other notable things:
– We met Johnny Raymond, a possible new resident at the Hastings’ home. He sure seems harmless, but he has some kind of connection to this game. Why would he go up to Spencer and automatically assume she’s Melissa? That’s conveniently suspicious.

– We also meet a chef, Talia Sandoval, who takes Emily’s catering job. Her and Emily have really bad first impressions of each other, but by the end of Ezra’s party, they seem to be fine. Is she another love interest for Emily, now that Paige is gone?

– Ashley and Jason got a little too close for comfort and I cannot wait to see how Hanna confronts her mother about it.

Thoughts? Talk to me.

A PLL Recap: “Through A Glass, Darkly”

Pretty Little Liars returned tonight and PLL fans everywhere were once again left with more questions.

This episode takes us three months after their jolly “A” filled holiday break. Mona’s body still hasn’t been found, but Mrs. Vanderwaal thinks its time to move on. What good’s a Rosewood funeral without a big scene or what Aria referred to as the “slap heard ’round the world.” Alison tries to pay her respects and insists that she had nothing to do with Mona’s death, but Mrs. Vanderwaal is not taking any of Alison’s bull and slaps the girl in front of everyone.

After the funeral, Spencer’s dad visits and drops a huge bomb that could land Spencer in jail. Bethany Young’s parents want Spencer’s bail revoked. There’s some new evidence that drops to warrant this and thanks to Officer Toby we find out what was on the arrest warrant. Detective Tanner is the one who hands over the unsealed documents and honestly I sat through the rest of the episode wondering why exactly she’s so open with Toby. I mean, wouldn’t this be a conflict of interest? But I guess Tanner is getting her own answers from Toby.

Anyways, I digress. Basically the evidence against Spencer was a witness, Mrs. DiLaurentis, who claimed to have seen Spencer talking to a blonde dressed in Alison’s clothes. This evidence was hidden away in Detective Wilden’s stash. #PLLCoverUp

Hanna and Caleb discuss what Alison could’ve done with Mona’s body and she wants to ask the Grunwald for help. Clearly, this upsets Caleb because of all the things that happened with him in Ravenswood and he wants Hanna to steer clear from all that drama.

Later we find Aria sitting on a bench alone at night. She finally received her letter from Oberlin college and I suddenly remember that the girls are still in high school and are looking to receive some college acceptance letters. I still wonder how they can manage all of that. I had one extra curricular activity and AP Classes and I was stressed. Anyways, I digress again.

While Aria, reads the rejetion letter, Alison decides to creep up on heryourea6. Aria gives Alison a piece of her mind: “You’re A!” and accuses her for a few of the Rosewood deaths and taking over the “A” game. Alison continues to deny it and tries to tell her side of the story, but Aria blows a whistle indicating to draw attention to them and Alison walks away to avoid a scene.

Spencer is freaking out and with good reason considering the #PLLCoverUp was revealed. The others are determined to find the evidence that Mona found and come up with a plan to squash Alison’s alibi from Thanksgiving.

Ezra tries to get Mike to talk, but it isn’t too successful. “People leave, people die. It’s the only sure thing in this world.” Mike has his walls up and they aren’t coming down soon.

Hanna ends up contacting Mrs. Grunwald to ask her to help find Mona’s body with her psychic powers. Hanna hands her the stuffed dog that Mrs. Vanderwaal gave her in hopes that’ll help Grunwald connect to Mona – and it does thanks to little Bungee.

While Hanna has her meeting with Grunwald, Spencer and Emily head to the DiLaurentis in hopes to reach Jason. Emily goes off to find the item she claims her mom left, leaving Jason and Spencer to have a sibling talk. Spencer wants the truth and flat out tells Jason that he needs to pick a sister.

Back at the cemetery, Grunwald says some deep things about secrets and once Hanna asks her if Alison killed Mona, some supernatural things begin to take place. “Each one hated the other because each one feared the other because each one knew something about the other.” Grunwald starts to say and she never fails to freak me out.

It turns out Jason was swayed by the conversation he had with Spencer. When Alison comes home, he confronts her and asks Alison where she went on Thanksgiving day. Alison says she’s being framed and brings up the fact that the girls are all working together to make her go away. Is Alison implying that they have something to do with Mona’s murder?

When Emily was getting the muffin pan at the DiLaurentis house, she actually grabbed Alison’s hairbrush to plant some evidence at the Vanderwaal home. I was not on board with this idea and I was not happy with Emily. I get that she wants to save Spencer and all, but after all the things that go down in Rosewood, I don’t understand how she thinks she would be able to get away with that. They go on with the plan anyway, but in their search for a place to plant the strand of hair, Spencer actually finds a camera in the air vent. Instead of planting evidence, they get Hanna to plant the idea in Mrs. Vanderwaal’s head that Mona had hidden cameras everywhere.

When Aria goes to pick Mike up, she has a little run in with “A” who happens to have his phone. After they struggle with each other, the figure in the black hoodie traps her and runs off with Mona’s computer. I’m pretty confident in Caleb, so if he couldn’t get past Mona’s security, I’m hoping “A” can’t either.

Alison and Mrs. Grunwald also have a run in with each other on the street. Pleasantries are exchanged and when Mrs. Grunwald grabs Alison’s arm she definitely sees something and I wonder what Grunwald just found out! I hope we find out soon.

Mrs. Vanderwaal took Hanna’s hint and found the hidden camera, which helped the police find some more evidence for Mona’s murder. Detective Tanner shows the tape to Jason and he reveals that it could have been Alison and that he lied about her alibi. On another note, I like how Toby is sort of Tanner’s partner with Hollbrook absent on a temporary assignment.

icant4Now the police has evidence incriminating Alison and head to the DiLaurentis house. Alison tries to run, but the girls are there to stop her. Alison sticks to her story and says that “A” is framing her and with her gone, “A” is going to go after them. I’m stuck in the predicament of not knowing what to believe again.

On a good note, Detective Tanner and Officer Toby are waiting for Spencer at the Hastings’ home to tell her some good news. The police say they now have evidence that Mona was not Alison’s first victim. They think Alison may have murdered Bethany Young as well and all the charges are dropped. Toby proclaims, “It’s over, Spencer..”

But let’s face it…it’s not over. Especially when there’s a message in the form of fireworks from “A”. How does that happen if Alison is in jail? The girls think this must have been planned before Alison was arrested, but maybe Alison was telling the truth this whole time. Leave me your thoughts on the matter!

“How the ‘A’ Stole Christmas” A Pretty Little Liars Recap.

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town, the little liars were thinking of how to take Alison down…

merrychristmasbitches

Tonight was the Pretty Little Liars Christmas special, and normally Christmas special’s have me all merry and gleeful. However, “How the ‘A’ Stole Christmas” had me on the edge of my seat hoping the liars would make it out alive.

The episode was the aftermath of what happened in the last episode we saw. In case you missed it, we found that one liar wasn’t able to make it to Christmas this year. Mona was on the way to redemption, but it was cut short when someone with a black hoodie and blonde hair, who most of us presumed to be Alison, decided to murder her. She knew too much. While Mona lost her life, another liar was arrested.

We start off the episode with the girls strolling the streets to try and have a normal life, outside of the “A” world. That’ll never happen for a while. Spencer is out of jail on bail, so at least they’re all together right? While Hanna flashbacks to the good times with Mona, Emily still has hope that Mona’s still out there alive somewhere and Aria states again how she’s tired of Alison’s games. A man in a suit, who happens to be Mona’s lawyer, delivers a package to Hanna. That girl was always prepared. In the package was a layout of Alison’s house and a note to Hanna to stay in the game and fight. Santa interupts their moment and gives the girls a little gift from “A”. “’A’ takes a holiday, you should too.” Lies, all lies.

In a dream, Alison gets a visit from her deceased mother and explains that “she” has a lot to show her. And by “she”, she means Mona. The ghost of Christmas past, reminds Alison where it all began. In this flashback, Alison sees herself as a little girl playing the piano and finding her mom’s hiding place. Little Alison’s curiosity gets the best of her and she finds that the two gifts are the same exact dresses. Alison’s mother comes in and basically tells Alison to lie about the presents she found. This is where the lying began. I’m left with the same question Ali had: Who was that other dress for?

After doing some normal Christmas-y things, such as volunteering and dressing up as Santa’s helpers, the liars and their significant others get ready for Alison’s ball and sneaking into her house to find some incriminating evidence. As they wait for Ali, Spencer visits Santa Clause aka Lucas and he promises to make sure Ali doesn’t leave the party. Spencer tells him to be careful, which I find interesting later on in the episode.

Alison fthenaughtylist1inally makes her entrance with 4 replacement girls. Hanna and Spencer use this time to head over to the DiLaurentis house, while Emily and Aria are on Alison watch. While on “A” watch, Aria runs to tell Emily that she saw Ali kissing Santa Clause (I started singing “I saw Ali kissing Santa Clausthenaughtylist3e. I hope I wasn’t the only one). They all search for the mystery Santa Clause, but this mysterious guy seems to find Aria first and it happens to be Detective Hollbrook. Rosewood Officers got it bad for Alison DiLaurentis. Later on Emily, theorizes that Hollbrook helped Cece escape for Alison.

Emily may have lost sight of Alison at the ball, but she finds two of her new minions. We know the other two are the twins, and it honestly came as a shock to me to find Sydney and Jenna behind those masks. I’m surprised Ali even let them in her secret circle. Jenna reveals they’re doing this to survive in Alison’s world, but we all know that Alison will get rid of them once she’s finished with them. I’m on the fence on whether or not we should trust them at this time.

After Alison’s meeting with Santa Clause, she meets the Snow Queen, CeCe Drake. They share a sisterly moment and my heart kinda feels for Alison, but she’s so good at lying and faking things, it’s hard to trust her again. Cece brings up the other girls, her “ex-friends” and I’m sure Alison may find Spencer and Hanna. Honestly, this is all such a roller coaster ride and I can’t keep up with what side people are on. The teams keep changing and I’m always left confused, to be honest.

Spencer and Hanna begin their search in Alison’s home. Hanna finds a passport with a new name, Holly Varjak, an ode to Breakfast at Tiffany’s. On Spencer’s end, she finds that Ali has been contacting someone through the personal ads.

The gang sees Alison leave the winter wonderland with someone they never saw before. In a wild goose chase, it appears that Alison got her minions, the twins to dress up like her and Cece as a decoy for the girls to follow.

Back at the DiLaurentis home, I’m scared for Spencer and Hanna’s life. Spencer is downstairs, when she hears a noise and Hanna I in the attic going through Alison’s old things. Hanna is unaware that something is about to go down downstairs. Toby is in Spencer’s house as a lookout and sees that a hooded figure is in the DiLaurentis house. That person happens to have a knife in hand. “A” doesn’t see Spencer hiding and once the coast is clear, she finds that Hanna doesn’t have her phone. At this point, I’m really really nervous and I hope that Hanna makes it to Christmas Day.

Hanna, still oblivious to the fact that someone is on their way upstairs, finds a letter from Bethany. Once she hears a noise, she hopes it’s Spencer, but alas it isn’t. Spencer hears Hanna scream and finds her unconscious on the attic floor. Spencer reassures that “A” is gone, but in the shadows, the infamous creepy baby mask makes an appearance. We’ve seen many appearances of the baby mask in the past and only two reveals: Lucas and Garrett. Could it be Lucas again?

wakeupbitch2

After the disastrous ball, the Pretty Little Liars celebrate Hanna’s discovery that could get Alison in some big trouble, while Alison is visited again by Mona, the ghost of Christmas future. It’s so creepy, but ghost Mona is still flawless. Mona brings Alison to the church and shows her what’s to come. It is quite devastating to see yourself in a coffin with your legs missing and the only one attending your funeral is your dead mother. I’m having some Ravenswood feels at the moment with all the supernatural stuff going on. “Wake up bitch, it’s Christmas and I promise you don’t want to miss it.” It was just a dream, my dear Alison, but it could be your future if you don’t change your ways.

Snowed in, the girls and boys celebrate Christmas day and have Christmas dinner together. It’s so sweet how all of them are together celebrating and smiling. Alison creeps up watching through the door and a part of me felt really sad because that could’ve been her family too. But their Christmas cheer is ruined, when “A” reminds them that he/she is still there. “Merry Christmas, bitches. – A”
