A liar is forced to play the game! (A PLL Recap)

Hi little liars! Today, I bring you the recap for the second episode of Season 7B, “These Boots Were Made for Stalking.”

Last week, Spencer’s curiousity got her to start the game A.D. prepared for her and the rest of the girls. On tonight’s episode a few more were manipulated into playing, even though they weren’t really game for it. The first few minutes of the episode was practically them arguing with each other about what to do next. But we all know how games bring out people’s competitive sides.

Like last week, the girls continue to try to move on with their lives without passing go. Hanna freaks out about a dress that may or may not have been designed by her former boss. A part of me thinks Mona is in on the game. I mean, how convenient is it that Mona decides to pick that dress from Hanna’s collection. This becomes very important later in the episode.

Aria starts to spend a lot of time with Holden to keep her mind off of Ezra and Nicole. Instead of going over the menu for the Ezria wedding, she offers to help Holden with catering for another party.

And then there’s Emily. She may not be a student at Rosewood High, but high school drama is still following her around in the form of a bratty girl named Addison. Addison thinks she’s the top bitch at school and has a tendency to eavesdrop on Emily’s conversations with former loves, Paige and Alison. Addison is the new Alison, but definitely worse.

New girl Addison even has the audacity to make false claims about Miss Fields to get her fired. Addison tells Paige that Emily has been inappropriate with her, other students, and faculty members aka Alison. Paige doesn’t believe it, but she does take a little stab at Alison even when she shouldn’t have been involved in the first place.

Spencer becomes desperate to find Mary Drake and even hands over the letter she received to Detective Furey. However, their little meeting gets interuppted, when Jenna returns and claims that she was also a victim of Noel Kahn. I don’t believe a word she says and neither does Spencer.

Spencer isn’t the only one Jenna encounters. Emily finds her at the Brew with a new posse. Jenna doesn’t seem to smell or hear Emily – Jenna is able to hear Spencer breathe and smell Hanna’s scent – but Emily sees Jenna texting another person. Who’s on the receiving end? At this point, it appears to be Addison so Emily knows somethings up and is led to believe that A.D. is probably the reason behind the new high school drama.

Jenna also makes her presence known to Hanna walking down the street with the dress she “designed”. According to Jenna, it was a gift. Yup, a gift from A.D. “It’s all part of the game,” Hanna says to Mona and I’m sitting here thinking Mona is definitely a pawn in this game. Thinking it’s her turn to play, Hanna follows Jenna to find out what she’s up to and ends up getting stuck in a shoe shop. It ends up being a trap from A.D. just to let her know it isn’t her turn. Hanna has flashbacks of when she was tortured and I’m sitting here heartbroken because Hanna doesn’t deserve this at all.

Back to the true player of the episode, Emily begs Ali to give her the key to Spencer’s barn, because she now knows it’s her turn. Turns out A.D. gives her a little evidence to get Addison off her back – a video of some extracurricular activities. Emily goes off on Addison and it’s the best even though the now 20 something year old went back in time and acted like a high school student. I’m not sure what A.D.’s motive is here, but Addison doesn’t really seem to back down from Emily. However, Paige miracously comes to save the day and shuts Addison up with a call to her parents and a copy of an incriminating email. Either way, A.D. is proud of Emily’s confrontation with the high schooler a puzzle piece is unlocked!

Looks like Hanna’s next in line. Let’s hope it actually is her turn because I DO NOT want to see her getting tortured again.

xoxo,

Adele
